1991 Camaro RS time capsule. I have spent the past 9 months bringing her back from the grave. Car is all original except for the stereo system and replacement stock exhaust. I have been using this as my daily driver and trust it to take me anywhere without fail. I have completed numerous repairs to the car to include the following.
BODY: Front and rear fascia repainted in GM base coat clear coat, red stripe added, four new headlights, all lenses removed cleaned with new bulbs, rear deck lid repainted, wet sanded and buffed entire car, 4 new TOYO 245-50-16 tires , headliner renewed, interior removed, carpet washed and dyed, all interior panels cleaned, reinsulated, fat mat installed throughout, Kenwood stereo and four speakers, foam added to drivers seat tear, blower motor removed cleaned lubed, HVAC housing cleaned, seat tracks painted and lubed, windshield wiper motor removed cleaned and greased, linkage adjusted for wiper arms, instrument cluster disassembled, cleaned new light bulbs (non LED), signal lenses. There are no squeaks and rattles that are so common in these cars.
MECHANICAL: New fuel tank, sending unit assembly, fuel pump, fuel filter, rebuilt TBI, EGR cleaned, Delco cap rotor, wires and plugs, water pump, upper and lower hoses, all heater hoses, valve cover gaskets, fresh coolant, radiator cap, thermostat, air filter, all vacuum lines , u-joints, exhaust from cat converter back, crank case breather, PCV, hood struts, hatch struts, ICM, Front struts, rear shocks, front wheel rotors, bearings, pads, calipers, flexible brake lines, rear wheel cylinders, shoes, fresh brake fluid system flushed, transmission gasket and fresh fluid, royal purple gear oil, fresh oil change, Air conditioning compressor, orifice tube, condenser and evaporator cleaned, all O-rings replaced, new accumulator, low pressure switch. AC blows hard and cold. Just did a VATS bypass module this week. Plugged into the factory harness so no wires were cut.
Car comes with the original build sheet with owners name etc. It appears he worked for GM and ordered it during that time. Most of its life was spent in Michigan, however it must have been stored for winters as there is zero rust anywhere. Floor pans are solid and appear to have been undercoated when new. I love driving this car and it gets a ton of attention from everyone who sees it. It is not fast by todays standards, however if your looking for a good looking nostalgic cruiser that starts each time, this is for you.
