In 1950 my parents rode to their wedding in Ogden, IA in a 1950 Chevy. In their honor, I found a similar model and created a sharp, cruising, powerful, Street Rod! With less than 3500 miles on the build, it's a perfect car for someone who wants a finished ready to drive head turning car. It's now for sale. Clear title.

Here are the main details.

No rust! The body and floor are solid - the car was garaged from the early 1970s until customization which began in 2015. The body paint glints in the sun and is near flawless. No dents or scratches. It was done by a guy with forty years of experience restoring and painting cars. It has a powerful 327 c.i. rebuilt engine from 1968/69. No oil leaks. No smoke from the exhaust. Block number: 3914660. Mild cam so it purrs and idles smoothly. Holly Four Barrel Carburetor. Electronic points.

New headers and dual exhaust produce a satisfying low rumble.

It has the original VIN plate.

I've left a lot of the the old stainless and chrome for originality. The bumpers are new.

The 200R4 overdrive automatic transmission works perfectly with the engine and shifts smoothly. At 60 miles per hour it hums along at a nice 2000 rpms.

For easy driving and safety, I've installed a Mustang II front end with disc brakes. And the tilt steering wheel is 3/4 size of the original so it's comfortable to steer.

The modern gauges fit perfectly in the original oval frame and light up at night.

Horn and wipers work as they should.

The Vintage Air system blows icy-cold air-con and heats up the car fast.

I installed a new gas tank, radiator and alternator. 12 Volt, all new wiring.

Rear end: 81/2 heavy duty 10 Bolt E 1972 Camaro/Nova 3.08:1 to 3.73:1.

All the lights work including the interior dome light and the backup lights (which was an optional feature in 1950. I found a pair of original new old stock backup lights!)

The wheels are 17" with original new old stock 1950 hubcaps. BF Goodrich G Force -Sport Low Profile Tires

245/45 ZR 17 x 8 rear

225/45 ZR 17 x 7 front

The original seat frames have been reinforced for comfort and durability.

The tuck 'n roll red and black interior is leather on the seats and leatherette on the doors. All new matching red headliner and sun visors complete the red and black interior.

Front center speaker behind the dash and two marine quality speakers in the back connect to a bluetooth stereo system.

Serious buyers only. If it's listed, it's available. Located in Fairfield, Iowa.
