I am the second owner of this Camaro. It was bought in 2018from the original owner in California. It was built in the Van Nuys Camaroplant and lived in CA until I bought it and took it to OK. The original ownerkept every record for the car. I have the factory build sheet, dealer invoice, window sticker and all receipts that document the mileage. The mileage on the odometer shows 87,278 and I have the receipts showing it is 100k more than this reading. In August of 2020 Istarted on doing a refurbishment of the car. This refurbishment became a full-blownrestoration. I have receipts and photos to document all of the work I havedone. I will assure you I have re-worked every not, bolt screw and system onthis car. I worked hard to refurbish all original parts and if they did notmeet my standards I sourced NOS, better condition original parts, Genuine GM,and as a last resort reproduction parts. The front subassembly was removed fromthe body and all suspension parts replaced. The remaining drive train was removedand rejuvenated. All brakes, rubber brake lines, break parts and seals replaced.New leaf and coil springs all new body bushings. New Spicer U-joints and thedrive shaft professionally balanced. The interior was gutted and the minimalsurface rust removed and the entire interior coated in POR 15 to prevent anyfuture rust. Kilzmat throughout the cabin and doors for noise dampening, newjute pad and carpet. The seats were completely reworked with all new padding. The entire window workings were removed and fully restored to new condition. The door glass is new as well. I even went as far as to get the seatbelt warninglight and buzzer to work with original parts. The gauges were professionallyrefaced with new needles. The car was taken down to bare metal and the minimalrust was cut out and the metal replaced. The body of the car was painted twoweekends ago back to it’s original Chevy Camaro Light Blue color code 22. Allof the other parts, front fenders, hood, trunk, new front nosecone, mirrors, spoiler, etc. are pained and ready for reassembly. The picture with it on thelift and the rim picture are the best representation of the actual color. Ihave all of the trim work ready to go. I have all new seals and rubber stopsand everything ready for final fitment. The door panels have new felt toprevent scratching. This is the original 305 engine to the car. It was runningand had passed CA emissions when I bought the car. It was professionallymachined and all new internals. I build the engine and, measured all clearancesduring the process. I had great difficulty in getting it started, I took it toa local race shop to get it started and broken in. They found no compression inany cylinder. The confirmed I had built and timed it right and there was no interferencedamage. I brought it home and performed a leak-down test and found the valvesare leaking. I have pulled the heads off and confirmed no damage. So it appearsthe shop did not get the valves seated properly. I am changing careers to beinga professional pilot and do not have the time to finish this project. I’mhoping there is a new home out there for this amazing car. It will be a head turner and the new owner will have manyyears of driving pleasure. Feel free to ask questions I am happy to answer themfor you. Buyer is responsible for shipping fees and making arrangement forpickup. Please keep in mind there are large, detached parts (hood, fenders, nosecone, and the remaining parts for final assembly that need to betransported. Many of the parts could be safely placed in the car. The largeitems need separate careful packaging. Thanks, Chris
