This Beetle was the dayley driver of a customer of mine until 2012 when It was taken off the road because of the floor rust. It has been sitting ever since. I acquired it at the end of May, put a battery in it, cleaned out the carb, cleaned the points, changed the oil and put in fresh gas. Three out of four tires held air and with the help of some green slime I was able to get the last one to pump up. It starts right up now and seems to run pretty well though for some reason I can't get it to idle so good. The clutch and brakes work fine (the e-brake even works!) and it is drivable. I have enjoyed driving it around my neighborhood several times but not venturing too far on account of the rotted tires. As you can see from the pictures it needs substantial restoration work to be a roadworthy car. It may in fact be too far gone and only useful for parts? I don't know. It's not however structurally saging, the doors still open and close well and the bumpers are solid. I have not tried putting the top down. It is complete, the reserve is low and I have a clear title in my name. The car is located in the town of West Tisbury MA. on the island of Martha's Vineyard. I will trailer it from my home to the ferry terminal in Vineyard Haven at no charge. From there it can be driven onto the boat (by you) and ferried to the terminal in Woods Hole (a 45 minute trip) which is on Cape Cod. The cost for the ferry ticket is around $100. This time of year it can be hard to get ferry reservations at the time/day you want but it is doable. If you wanted it trailered off the island I am happy to do that but the cost would be substantially more. I'm glad to answer any questions. Happy eBaying!
