1995 Formula Firebird withmodifications. I bought this car in 1996 as second owner and it hasbeen a reliable car for all these years. I am selling it because, atmy age, I just can’t keep up with what it needs. I hate to sellthis car but would like to see it taken care of by someone whoappreciates it. If you’re looking for a perfect Firebird, this isnot it, but it would make a really good base from which to do aresto-mod or something similar.

Imodified the following; I removed the whaletail glass and spoiler andreplaced it with a Trans-Am window and spoiler, the original yellowcolor of which can been seen at the edges where the window meets thebody still. I installed a Borla 3” cat-back stainless steel dualtipped exhaust. I installed a K&N cold air intake.

Thebad parts: The interior overhead liner is drooping and needsreadhesive or change. I replaced the old shift knob selector, whichwas a terribly designed plastic wedge pushing sideways against avertical nylon post, and installed an imported Italian stainlesssteel straight down push button knob so it now pushes the way itshould against the selector post. The problem is that in doing thechange, the PRNDL indicator got messed up so should be replaced(they’re easy to find and do). There are scrapes and minor dings onthe body but it has never been in any collision. It has a really badpaint job when I tried to convert the solid black to a blackpearlized version. It needs to be repainted by a pro. It has 135,740miles on it (see photo of instrument cluster). I still has good oilpressure (same photo).

Ijust did an oil and filter change (always syn oil) and that has beendone routinely at short intervals for the cars’ entire life. I hadthe entire brake system reworked by a brake shop so that should begood for quite a while. I started to do a tune up and after replacingthe first spark plug I realized I just wasn’t up to crawling aroundunder cars any more. The remaining 7 E3 platinum spark plugs areincluded. Also, extras included are (see photos): The originalfactory repair manuals (2 volumes; in 1995 worth $350), a new set ofwires, a gasket kit if you wanted to drop the oil pan and clean itout, a sequential tail light kit which I just didn’t install, Ialso had a second set of hood louvers chrome plated for when therepaint was done to see if that was a good look or not. I replacedthe drivers’ side window motor and bought a replacement for thepassenger side but have not installed it. It’s still new in boxincluded.

Thedrivers side rear brake lights module has begun to delaminate as theyall do in this year model car but the passengers’ side has not (seephotos). I just replaced all the tail light and stop light bulbs. Thespare tire is still good and jack is in place (see photo). CD playereats cd’s and won’t eject them but radio still works. The A/Ccircuit has no freon and I would presume that even when filled, itwill probably not push cold air but the fan still blows. Heaterworks. Headlight solenoids growl on closure of the headlights. I’mtold this is due to “stop” clips on solenoids being worn down sosolenoid doesn’t know when to stop closing. It times out in about15 seconds. These are also available easily for replacement. Thefloor mats are still in car and in good shape as I installed plasticmats over them when I first bought the car. There are no rips ortears on any of the seats or upholstery in general.

Ihave included as many photos as I think should correctly show whatthe shape of the car is, but if you want a photo taken of a specialpart or area, I can do that and answer whatever questions you mighthave as well. Clean S. Carolina title in hand. Checks/Money Orders will be held for 3 business days untilcleared before release of title and car. Am not going to ship thecar. I am about 15 min from Detroit Metro Airport so short taxi driveand you can drive this car home with temp plate and insurance (yourresponsibility to obtain).

Thankyou for looking and good luck.
