Here's the full and complete disclosure of everything I know...
Mechanical disclosure: Purchased it 6-8 months ago out of Washington state. The guy I bought it from purchased it from an estate sale in 2021 or 2022 I believe he said. He took his time and had to do some necessary work to get it back running as it hadn't ran in many years. Gas tank was removed/flushed, water pump was replaced. New plugs and I believe he said a carb rebuild. I can't recall what else was done. With all this said, it runs/drives good with no shortage of power. I believe all the lights work. I believe the fuel gauge was inoperable, but it's been a while since I drove it. Best to say a gauge or two might need attention, which is typical with Jeeps of this vintage. Steering column is slightly loose and I will attempt to investigate (time permitting). There's no slop in the column itself, but it seems it may not be properly secured to the mounting area behind the dash. Likely a simple fix.
Exterior disclosure: Jeep is mostly original paint. The front passenger fender was repainted forward of the seam. I can only imagine the fender hit something at some point in its life and it was repaired/painted. I'll be honest and say it's not the best color match. If I were keeping, I'd repaint this portion of the fender to better match and leave the rest of the Jeep untouched. Other than this, I do believe the Jeep is 100% original paint with 45 years of age. Expect some minor blemishes, rock chips, patina, etc. I believe the graphics are also all original, but possibly the "Renegade" text on the hood may have been replaced. If it was, it was done a long time ago and the wear matches the rest of the decals (a collector buddy with a good eye noticed a possible discrepancy, which is why I disclose this). I'm fairly certain the rest of the stripes are factory original with 45 years of relatively light wear. Underside of the hood was painted black by a previous owner for an unknown reason. The Jeep has nothing but superficial surface rust. No rot or really any pitting anywhere on the tub and no evidence of any rust repair at any time. This Jeep has not been cleaned, polished, detailed, etc. It shows this well as-is, so imagine if you spend a day with the buffer.
Interior disclosure: Factory Levi blue interior. The 2 front seats have been replaced with vintage OEM Jeep base-model seats and the Levi seats were removed. They are in fair condition as seen in the photos and are included with the sale. Back Levi seat still installed and in fairly good condition. Dash pad has typical age cracks.
The fine print: Stupid offers will be ignored - if you don't like the price and/or don't know what you're looking at, probably best to be a spectator. $500 immediate deposit required upon offer acceptance. Balance due within 3 calendar days via bank check, bank wire, or cash in person. I will release the title once funds are fully cleared into my account and will send it to the buyer via FedEx overnight service. I welcome inspections by potential buyers or their third-party representative. I'm also happy to FaceTime prospective buyers. Vehicle is expected to be picked up within 2 weeks of sale. Can you fly in and drive it home you ask?! Sure, if you're foolish you can absolutely attempt that. Remember, this is a 45 year old CJ so probably best to "get to know it" before you get stranded in the boonies in this 110 degree Arizona heat. If you need help with transport, I know a reliable broker and I'm happy to get you a quote and help with logistics. Or better yet, pull up with your trailer and enjoy the experience. International buyers are welcome.
