1969 Ford XL. 390 Engine with Automatic and Hideaway lights that work. Older restoration from years ago, paint is still shiny, but has some small scratches and dings, Body is very straight otherwise. Engine was rebuilt and is matching numbers, starts right up with Electric choke. Trunk lid has a dent. Drives smooth and true, new shocks, starter, carb. Aluminum Intake. Missing lock cylinder for trunk. Needs pump for power top, but can be lowered manually. Vinyl top in decent shape. I posted pics of underside floorboards, they are in good rust free shape except for a couple pinholes. The interior could use some help on the Instrument cluster bezel, and some of the indicator lights. Driver door glass missing it broke. Heat works. I don’t know a lot about Fords, but if there are questions, Ill try to answer them. Clear title. Will help with loading for a shipper, or I can ship to you reasonably and without a lot of hassle with a Broker that I have been using for more than 20 years.
This a Ford XL, it looks like a
Galaxie, but in reality the Galaxie name was dropped in 1969, has been owned by
the same individual since 1989. The
original 390 was taken out and completely rebuilt by a well known Ford Engine
Builder. Was completely gone through with all new brgs, heads redone, crank
machined, street performance cam, 4bbl carb. New water pump, new radiator and
heater hoses, new belts, radiator redone, new wires, plugs etc. Always stored in
garage. Total brake overhaul with rebuilt power booster, new master cyl., new
drums, shoes, spring hardware kits and wheel cylinders. Has a new carpet installed. Has spare wheel that matches the
others in trunk, but needs a tire to be functional as a spare. Clear title. Ready
to drive right now. Message with questions and thanks for looking. Serious
Only! No tire kickers please! It is a Ford XL.
I work out of town, most of the time,
presently in Denver. The Only day I can meet someone for purchase or inspection
is 4/28, which is a Sunday. Take your money out of the bank, check with the
wife, arrange financing all BEFORE 4/28, as my flight out is on 4/29. I cant
meet anyone on the car until that day either. My son can meet a shipper
anytime, but I don’t trust him financially to engage in a proper transaction,
you know, count the money, etc. nor do I trust the buyers showing up doing some
lowballing, so in that case, after missing 4/28, a wire transfer would be
required or check in the mail with holding time, I can provide a photo of my
Drivers license for security purposes to the buyer. If you are looking for a
decently priced convertible that is presentable and ready to go, this is it. The
deposit is minimal and refundable, minus 100 dollars to cover Ebay fees. Im not
in a hurry to sell the car, so if a buyer cant abide by my restrictive dates,
that is Ok, I will refund the deposit, but that also means I am not bound to
save it for that buyer either. Zero feedback bidders: Please message me before
bidding, you know why. I will also be in
town Memorial Day weekend.
