Up for sale a gorgeous, nicely detailed 1967 Ford Mustang Widebody coupe restomod.  VIN shows as R code original California car and C code original V8 Mustang.  Clean California title in hand ready for a new owner.


Body/Undercarriage:

Body is straight with the addition of a Maier Racing 3-inch fiberglass cowl hood, front fiberglass flared fenders and rear fiberglass flares for that widebody racing look.  The paint job is 
Carbon Gray metallic with black Lemans stripes.  Painted two years ago, but still looks really nice.  Has some chips, scratches and some small cracks in the passenger's rear flare.  Front & rear bumpers, billet grille & moldings, sport mirrors, emblem package, front & rear window trim have all been replaced.  Doors open and close nicely.  Brand new wheel and tire package.  Wheels are brand new staggered Bullitt aluminum alloy 17x8 front 17x10.5 in the rear.  Brand new tires Fortune Viento 225/45/17 front and 275/40/17 in the rear.  All weatherstripping was replaced at the time of paint.  Exterior lighting, turn signals and brake lights function properly.  Back-up lamps and windshield wipers have been disabled.  Battery has been re-located to the trunk of vehicle.  The undercarriage is clean no rust and was treated with a durable Zolatone undercoating at time of paint.


Drivetrain:

The engine bay is clean housing a replacement V8 5.0 H.O. roller engine with GT40 heads out of a late model Foxbody Mustang.  It runs very strong with no apparent issues and has ample power (mileage on drivetrain unknown).  600CFM Edelbrock Performer carburetor, Edelbrock Performer RPM intake and Edelbrock Hi Flow air cleaner, HEI billet distributor with 8mm wires, Griffin aluminum radiator are some of the performance adders.  Exhaust sounds awesome with heddman headers
 running into 2.5" aluminized piping and dual 40 Series Flowmaster mufflers dumped at the rear axle. Transmission has been converted to a Tremec T5 five speed manual.  Includes a cable actuated clutch release providing for stiff clutch pedal operation. Transmission shifts nicely through all the gears with no issues.  Cruises nicely on the highway with the 5th gear overdrive.


Interior:

The interior was redone at the time of paint including carpet, door panels, arm rests, seat upholstery, dash pad, headliner all having been replaced.  An Autometer sport gauge package (speedometer, tachometer, oil, temp, volt) was installed along with an aftermarket shifter handle, woodgrain steering wheel, custom center console, Pony floor mats and AM/FM CD player with 6x9 speakers.  Front windows roll up and down properly, quarter windows have been locked out and do not roll down.  
Door locks function properly.  Dash illumination works.  Factory heating system was removed at some point and there is no air conditioning.


Brakes/Suspension:

Brakes are manual disc up front and drum in the rear. Suspension is in great shape with new coil springs with new shock absorbers up front and leaf springs with adjustable air shock absorbers in the rear.  An aftermarket subframe connector package was installed to stiffen up the weak factory unibody construction.  1-1/2 inch lowering springs up front with 2 inch lowering blocks in the rear have been added giving this Mustang a nice aggressive stance.  Most bushings and ball joints have been replaced.  This Mustang has power steering.  New fuel tank and sending unit installed with Holley electric fuel pump.
