About this vehicle
This 1981 corvette is about as original as it can be in unrestored condition. The owner was very obsessive about it being as GM as possible. He did a full engine gasket replacement(besides head gaskets) about 10K miles ago. He was a lifelong mechanic for himself. The tires are brand new but about 8 years old. They where stored properly but still 8 years old. Engine starts and runs well and trans has also been gone through by a local well respected shop. Rear end was rebuilt and rear spring shocks where just replaced last year along with front brake calipers and master cylinder. Fuel filter has also been replaced. Huge stack of receipts. As stated, the owner for the past 20+ years passed a few years ago and his widow has decided to sell. He stored it with plans to repaint and totally mechanically restore the car. Didn’t get to it and it sat for 6-7 years until his passing.Vehicle Details
Condition is better than average that I’ve seen for sale but there are a few blemishes. Mechanically it’s sound. Rear suspension has been gone through. New spring and shocks. Tons of paperwork and many new parts are included. There is a small coolant leak, appears to be from hose going from radiator to the overflow tank. Will need alignment and front suspension gone through. Does run and drive but transport will be the better option. There is a parking lot around the corner from me a 18 wheeler or smaller truck can fit easily. Clean and clear title so no issues with title. Charge light is on but alternator has new regulator/diodes in it and puts out 14.4 volts. Battery is less than a year old.
