The Porsche 914 is a mid-engined sports car designed, manufactured and marketed collaboratively by Volkswagen and Porsche from 1969 to 1976. It was only available as a targa-topped two-seat roadster powered by either a flat-4 or flat-6 engine. Over the seven model years, Porsche made a number of changes to the 914. Some of these changes were cosmetic and others were in response to changing crash protection standards. In 1975 and 1976, the chrome or painted bumpers were replaced with heavy, rubber-covered units which actually made the cars more stable at high speeds.
Pleased to bring this 1975 Porsche 914 to market as it is a stunning example of a true sports car. There is no fluff with the 914 as they were designed and built to be a fun two seater with attitude. The market has gained significant values over the past 5 years as these were so fun to drive without the heavy price tag of the 911. This 914 was recently treated to a nice restoration of the interior with all new door panels, seat covers, carpet kit, headliner, MOMO steering wheel, dash cover, and shift knob. The exterior is in very good condition as well with newer side skirts with raised Porsche lettering. 15in factory correct wheels are mounted on good tires and the pop up headlights function nicely.
Drive and enjoy is the easiest recommendation for this car as cruising with the targa top on or off is a thrill and a joy to drive. Plenty of power is provided by the 1.8L 4cyl and it hustles through the 5 gears with ease and spirit. Don't miss out on the opportunity to own a Porsche without the high cost of ownership.
