You're looking at my beautiful Guards Red 1991 Porsche 944 S2 Cabriolet. This was the final year for 944's before the 968 was introduced in the US in 1992.

This is one of the nicest examples you'll find anywhere, especially for the money. It's exceptional, especially considering it's over 30 years old! Porsche only made 5,700 examples of the Cabriolets between 1989-1991, which makes it quite rare and desirable. How many are even still on the road?

The car benefited from a $7,000 respray in 2017 in its factory original color and it looks great. There are no dings, dents, or scratches on the car (the rims have some light scratches on them but no major curb rash). Body seals and gaskets were also replaced at that time. Mirrors were upgraded to 968 versions as well. The original side rub guards are included but not installed (in trunk if you wish to install, along with a trickle charger...the connector is mounted in the front bumper opening). Headlights have been upgraded to LED with much improved nighttime visibility.

The heated front seats with power adjustments were recovered in supple leather in 2023 and look/feel brand new. Carpets and mats look virtually new as well. Dash is basically perfect with no cracks. Car has been garage kept all its life and it shows! I don't believe it was ever smoked in either. All glass is excellent (windshield is newer). Radio was replaced with an aftermarket CD player, and sounds great.

Cloth soft top was also replaced in 2017 and looks fantastic. Rear plastic window is excellent and is super clear/distortion free. Factory tonneau cover is excellent as well. The top is now "manual" and can be put up or down in seconds. Brackets are included if you want to put back to electric.

There has been a ton of maintenance done on this car over the years. There is a thick folder of receipts and records (see pic of just a few receipts) as well as an original sales brochure/booklet and owners manual. I also have both keys.

Rims were replaced in 2020 with factory Porsche 17" Turbo Twists and Continental tires which have excellent tread (only a few thousand miles on them). Pagid brake pads and rebuilt calipers were done as well within the past few thousand miles. Car also has ABS and dual front airbags. Adjustable Koni shocks front and rear (car is slightly lowered), and Stainless Steel Dansk exhaust are also newer.

The car runs and drives beautifully. The 3.0 liter engine pulls strong, and the 5 speed manual transmission with Limited Slip shifts effortlessly. The clutch was replaced a few years ago and feels great. Carrier bearings in the transaxle were replaced as well. Rebuilt ball joints and newer front wheel bearings also. Car tracks straight down the road and feels nice and tight!

In the past few thousand miles the timing belt, water pump, front reseal, new hydraulic lifters, valve adjustment, plugs and wires, hoses, lower balance shaft rear seal, and more have been replaced. The original AC compressor had seized and was removed (no longer have). All the plumbing/brackets are still there to reconnect a new one if desired.

This is really a very nice car and ready to be enjoyed immediately. They are going up in value quite a bit. This is a great opportunity to get a very well maintained rare car that you can drive worry free and most likely watch the values continue to rise over the next few years. I mean, when's the last time you've seen one on the road, let alone in this condition?!?!

I'm starting the bidding at only $13,500 with No Reserve. As you can see I've priced it low and very competitive. I forsee the bidding going higher, and I will entertain ending the auction early for the right offer if you don't want to risk getting outbid at the last minute. Send a message if you'd like to work something out. You'll be happy you did!

I require a $500 deposit immediately following the auction. The balance is to be bank wired within 3 business days. No exceptions, please. And PLEASE only bid if you are a serious buyer.

Clean and clear title is in my name and in my possession. Car is located in Conway, SC just outside of Myrtle Beach. Due to age of car mileage is exempt on title.

I will keep the car safe and secure for the winning bidder until shipping or personal pickup can be arranged.

* NOTE: Please ask any and all questions before bidding. I will be traveling and away during the auction but will have internet access to answer questions. This is an auction to BUY the car, NOT to win and then " think about it".

Again, this is a fantastic example and will make the new owner very happy. Thanks for looking and happy bidding! Good luck!!!
