1969 Dodge Dart GTS 340-4 Speed Matching Numbers
I have spent 12 years building this car. It is a rare car with the matching numbers STANDARD BORE 340 (almost all 340s are bored 30 or 40 over after 40 over they tend to overheat) and fender tag. I spent 15k on paint and body work. Everything has been taken off almost and restored. Almost every nut and bolt has been cleaned and painted. Professionally painted in the original W1 White. This is a stripe delete car but I added the Rear stripe. The interior has all new bezels with a reproduction original looking stereo with Sirius radio. The seats, vinyl top and headliner are newly redone by a professional shop. New carpet, complete sound deadening with high quality product. The trim for the interior was professionally painted in by the shop that did the body work and paint. The car had no rust so the floors were cleaned and white rust enhibitor was applied. All new door handles. New stock engine wiring harness. I have a lot of pictures of the restoration and all the receipts for a lot of the parts. This was not a cheap restoration. I bought all the best parts to make this car handle and drive great.
It needs a couple days of work to finish it. Needs the engine primed and cam broken in. Needs Brand new Electronic ignition installed. Needs the fronts suspension tightened up and aligned. Needs the passenger seat put it. Needs two pieces of brand new AMD wheel well trim installed. Needs the front side makers put it.
Rebuilt 340 Standard Bore Matching Numbers to the car. Honed and New Rings, Bearings, Comp Cam, Crank turned 40 under. New Gaskets. New oil pump etc etc. Stock high flow 340 manifolds. Solid motor mounts. Stock intake from the original engine. Edelbrock 750. New stock reproduction air cleaner with new 340 pie pan. Engine has never been started yet. Brand new reproduction OEM looking aluminum Radiator. The motor needs to be primed and the cam broken in. It should make 375 HP.
The 4 speed was completely rebuilt with Passion rebuild kit. New stage 2 clutch and throw out bearing. New Z Bar and linkage.
Steering - Firm Feel Stage 3 Power Steering Box. New Reproduction Steering wheel.
Boyds 17” Gunmetal Grey small bolt pattern rims with new tires.
Suspension- There is 1000’s of dollars in suspension - Rear Hotchkiss Leaf springs, Front and Rear Hotchkiss huge sway bars, Hotchkiss Fox racing shocks, Tubular adjustable Upper Control Arms, 1.03 torsion bars, Welded in Subframe Connectors, Poly bushings, Tubular adjustable strut bars with solid aluminum bushings. SBBC Big brake kit and rear drums were all rebuilt. Newer 73 and up brake master cylinder and kit for way better braking. All ball joints and components were replaced.
Exhaust - New TTI full exhaust system with new exhaust tips. Nice.
Stock 8 3/4 sure grip rear axle with 3:23 gears.
New OLD STOCK 340 Hood Bezel Inserts. Bezels are stock and have been stripped and restored.
Perfect original to the car Rear Trunk Tail panel completely stripped and restored. All new fasteners were added.
New headlight and taillight bezels. The grill is almost perfect and ha been stripped and restored. New lenses all around including marker lights.
New AMD Bumpers.
I have the original keys with the dealer leather tag.
Clean California Title in my name.
There is probably a lot I am missing. It is a beautiful car. It just needs some finishing.
