Toyota built the Celica line from 1971 through 2006 over seven generations of changes and by 1988, Toyota was on its fourth generation of cars. Celica meaning Heavenly in Latin and would be powered by various 4-cylinder engines and body styles including convertibles, lift-backs, coupes and notchback coupes. The fourth generation first started being built in 1985 and would have a four year run internally known as the T160 and would be a complete change to a more rounded look. This particular car seems to be in good condition with a very nice interior with everything in working order including cold A/C, power convertible top and the gauges and lights seem to work. It starts right up with a little smoke, but seems to clear up quickly. Does not appear to be leaking anything and it goes down the road really nicely including the transmission and braking. Tires appear to be nice and is all around quiet with what appears to be a newer exhaust system. The exterior and paint appear to be all original with some obvious wear including some minor hail damage on the hood and trunk lid. The underside has some corrosion but its what is expected of a car of this vintage and mileage. This little Celica is really fun to drive and for the price is hard to beat.
