This is a very, very nice, rare BMW 535D - 3.0 Inline 6 cylinder twin-turbo diesel - AWD. It’s fast, efficient, very powerful, and gets 26-38 MPG—or 40+ MPG if you drive slower. With an 18.5 gallon fuel tank, you can realistically cruise 650 miles on a tank of fuel. This is the most luxurious, comfortable, and quick economy car you could imagine. 255 horsepower and 433 lbs of torque (at 1500 RPM) with an 8 speed transmission and AWD gives it a 0-60 in 5.5 seconds and an electronically limited top speed of 130 MPH.
This particular car was to be my “forever” highway trip car, but post-covid life and work changes made me unable to keep it. I’m a commercial pilot and maintain my vehicles like one would an airplane. This BMW is has a classy medium metallic gray exterior, black interior, and runs and drives flawlessly. It’s clean, has always been garage kept, and has only a couple minor aesthetic blemishes and no mechanical ones. (Blemishes are shown in photos—a little parking lot rash on back bumper and the driver door handle (inside) has some sticky rubber residue that is presently covered with a piece of black tape—it bothers me, but I haven’t had time to research a replacement interior door handle “cup”). It has always received all maintenance when needed/due. There are no engine or warning lights of any kind. Brakes and tires are like new. No noises/squeaks/rattles. The A/C is phenomenal as well—nice in Texas summer weather.
Over the last 4 years, maintenance has included a turbo/exhaust spring to eliminate erratic check engine lights, new alternator and battery, new uni-belt, new Goodyear tires, and all 4 wheels were professionally restored to remove all curb rash and scuffs. Literally needs nothing to be ready for everyday use or cross country road trips.
Options on this car include power “everything”, Nav/Entertainment system, heated seats, electric folding-heated-photochromic mirrors, adaptive headlights, fog lights, 18” alloy sport wheels, sunroof, and all-wheel-drive, of course.
There is no accident history/clean CarFax and a clean title in my name ready to sign over. The car is located in Granbury, Texas, about an hour southwest of DFW airport. I’m happy to provide airport pick-up at DFW or DAL if you choose to fly in and drive home. I wouldn’t hesitate to drive the car anywhere in North America. (Side Note: It has Alaska license plates. I had a summer residence there and intended to take the car north eventually, but never got the chance—Covid changed plans.) This one will make any BMW/diesel enthusiast very happy.
