Autoform was a company based in Elkhart, IN that performed convertible conversions on Firebirds. It is believed to be around 600 of these conversions were done in a 3 1/2 years. With a total cost of $5,500 in conversion, it brought the total of these cars to nearly $25,000. They were delivered to Autoform direct from participating dealers and then brought back to be sold as new cars with Adendums to the original MSRP. This particular Trans Am has had excellent care over the years and remains unmolested and in very good survivor condition with good paint, interior, engine bay and even original convertible top that is in OK and operable condition. This bird starts right up, idles nicely, shifts through all the gears as it should and is a pleasure to drive and cruise. Its especially nice with the top that completely disappears and is hidden by what I would call a sports roadster cover. Traveling less than 80,000 miles makes the mileage really nice especially when there are no concerns of drivability. This car comes with a car show sign, plenty of past trophies, Autoform information as well as original manuals. It also comes with a clean Carfax and service records. This is a unique car that will surely appreciate. Please let us know if you have any further questions or would like to set up an inspection. Please let us know.
