Vehicle Details
Helping a friend list his 1939 Mercury Eight 99A Convertible. This car is one of approximately 7800 manufactured in Mercury's first year of production and is finished in Garnet Red with a tan top over a red interior. It's an AACA Senior car, taking home first in Class 20E at the 2023 Hershey Region AACA event held this past October. The owner purchased the car in 2018 and it had a full restoration done prior to his purchase. Since he acquired the car, he has replaced the kingpins, installed a new 6 volt battery and replaced the master cylinder. The car comes equipped with a 239 CI flathead V8, a standard 3sp manual transmission and hydraulic brakes. The car starts, runs and drives perfectly. The exterior, interior and undercarriage are very clean/straight and the top is flawless. The side skirts, although not currently on the car, are perfect as well and are included. This is a stunning example of a first year Mercury convertible that will not disappoint.
