If you are looking to skip the couple year wait list and are looking for one of the best in the country, here you go. We finished this bronco less than 6 months ago. The last 7 pictures are of the the truck when we purchased it, wearing its original paint and original Free Wheeling decals and also a and a few of the restoration. I have over 200 finished pics as well as many build pictures.
This is an original 1978 Ford Bronco XLT Ranger Free Wheelin' edition bronco that has undergone a frame off, nut and bolt restoration. It has been upgraded with a 5.0L Coyote engine mated to a 6R80 automatic transmission. Nothing on this truck has gone untouched.
The frame was stripped and powder coated along with most of the chassis parts. It rides on a 2.5" suspension lift. Both differentials have been completely rebuilt as well as all new brakes, brake lines and fuel lines and a new Painless wiring harness. It stops on a dime with the new Hydroboost brakes. The motor was stripped to the block and every part was cleaned and resealed. It runs and shifts flawlessly. Less than 500 test miles have been added since completion.
The undercarriage of the tub was refinished in color matched raptor liner. The interior has been fitted with all new carpet and factory upholstery on freshly refinished powder coated seat frames. It has been upgraded to factory style Dakota Digital gauges and vintage A/C heat. Yes, the rear window works with both the key and interior window switch. EVERYTHING works on this truck like it should. You could easily drive it across the country with no problems.
Every part was documented on this build with almost $86K in just parts and over 1200 hours in labor. I am happy to share the parts list with serious and interested parties.
