Big Red This car was the star of Route 66 in 2022. This great weekend driver was driven from Portland OR, to Chicago, to L.A. on Route 66. Then back to Portland OR in June 2022. The trip of a lifetime--and boy did Big Red make a lot of people's day. Now it's time for some other lucky owner to enjoy this ride as the owner is moving onto other projects. - One of only 15,160 built. - Previous Owners: • 1990’s frame off restoration • Approx. 13,000 miles on 2015 engine rebuild - Current Owner Since 2018: • PerTronix distributor conversion • Added additional rear spring • Power steering • Added power braking •Power convertible top. AC can be added as this model was originally equipped. • Replaced front seat belts • Replaced front seat foam inserts • Upgraded exhaust system • Repaired both door window winding mechanisms • Insulated center console • Replaced steering bushing • Replaced both lower ball joints • Replaced starter solenoid • Replaced starter • Replaced powder coated 5 period appropriate wheels • Full Transmission Rebuild in 2022 • Replaces fuel pump - Have all the receipts including previous owners, and plenty of extra stuff too. - Note: Obviously the car has more than 13,000 miles on it, but 13,000, or less, is a good guess on the miles on the major components since the restoration. - The car is practically flawless but there are just a couple small scratches in the paint as seen in the video. - Everything works great and that big 390ci engine with automatic transmission easily drives you through the back roads this spring with the top down and a smile on your face. - Feel free to ask any questions before making and offer on this extraordinary machine. - CALL OR TEXT ANYTIME.
