Amazing condition! This is a 4 page magazine car. We also have pictures showing the car stripped to a bare shell. We also have it's original "black plate" with California registration proving it belongs to this car. I acquired it from one of my fussiest customers. His cars are show ready and dialed in mechanically, too.

EXTERIOR: Rust free California body. It has amazing fit and finish; I'm sure it is far better than when it was new. Every inch of it is laser beam straight and there is zero rust or damage. It has a Super Stock scooped hood. It is painted in the brightest red possible- Porsche Guard Red! It's polished out like glass and was just given a ceramic coat. Up front the bumper is rechromed, the grill and headlight bezels look new. The stainless trim around the windshield is straightened and polished. Door handles look new, trim around the back window is straight and polished, back bumper is new and rechromed. All the glass is really clear, door jambs are painted slick, weather strips were replaced. The taillight lenses were replaced and have blue dots. 15" Torque Thrust wheels; nice and wide with some meaty tires.

INTERIOR: It was completely gutted and restored. The metal dash is painted slick like the outside. The instrument cluster is in excellent shape. It has a vintage Sun tachometer along with a gauge cluster. The seats have been recushioned and reupholstered. The door panels are all upholstered to match. New perforated white headliner and visors, working dome light. New carpet on the floor and red seat belts for the front. Very cool push button automatic.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: The engine bay is pristine metal painted gloss red. The center of attraction is the genuine 1968 426 Hemi built by legendary Amos Satterlee. It's been balanced and blueprinted, new pistons, valves, bearings, performance cam etc. The heads were ported and polished. On top is a Mopar aluminum intake with a big dual feed Holley carb and a manual choke. New chromed air cleaner and a set of headers. All the components look new- pulleys, alternator, upgraded dual reservoir master cylinder, clutch fan, radiator etc.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Perfectly dry clean metal, very neatly spatter painted gray and white. Under the lid and the jamb are painted gloss red. The weatherstrip and trunk mat look new. The battery is relocated to the trunk and is bolted down properly.

UNDERSIDE: The front end is completely rebuilt and it's detailed. Ball joints, bushings, steering components, shocks have been replaced. The rear suspension has also been redone – bushings and shocks. Custom 3 inch exhaust with electric dumps, Flowmaster mufflers and crossover pipe. Rebuilt brakes with disc conversion in front. E-brake assembly is hooked up. Looking up at the motor it is spotless. It has a rebuilt 727 Torqueflite automatic trans. Rebuilt drive shaft connects to a 8 3/4 rear with 3.90 posi gears. The floors are all original rust free metal, even the lower quarters still have the factory spot well dimples.

SERVICE: The seat frame was repaired, timing was adjusted, rear window track was lubed, speedo was calibrated.

Yes it's a Hemi! The new buyer will be very happy, this seller only has premium cars. You can buy with confidence!

I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my professional impression of the vehicle. Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video that explains the car's condition in detail. **These cars are displayed in a museum. If interested in a particular car make an appointment with a salesman to see that car. Without an appointment there is an admission fee to enter the showroom. If you buy a car, your admission will be refunded and you will be given a 1 year membership.

About Volo Auto Museum

No other collector car dealer has been in business longer than the Volo Auto Museum.  Owned and operated by the Grams family since 1960.  We are the only collector car dealer that has 4 generations of experience with buying, selling and consigning classic autos.  For our family, classic cars are more than a business, it is a passion.  Over the decades, we have maintained a reputation for dealing with integrity as proven with our high reviews and A+ rating with the BBB.

Buying a classic car can be exciting, but also stressful.  We want to take the stress out of your buying experience by allowing you the time and tools you need to get to know the car you are interested in before making your investment, not after.  Unlike auctions, we allow test drives, 3rd party inspections, the use of our shop and car lift.  No reasonable request will be turned down.

Selling a car can be equally stressful, but it doesn’t have to be.  After reviewing your quality collector car, we will discuss the options we have available to you and let you decide what works best for you.  We have cash available for immediate sales and we also offer a consignment program that surpasses anyone else’s.   Unlike percentage based programs with fees; we work with a no fee, net to owner.  This allows us the opportunity to treat and market your car as if it were our own.  We invest approximately $1500 of our own money into marketing your car, which means if it doesn’t sell, we lose, not you.  So, we are more aggressive in selling your car!
