1968 Chevrolet Camaro 327 Barn Find

This is one of those stories you hear about all the time. Original owner purchased the car new in 1968 and kept the car up until his death. At that time, the car was left to the owner's daughter. She was not a car person, so the car was put in a storage unit for the past 25 years. when her health began to deteriorate, she asked a neighbor and friend to help her sell it. The current owner heard about the car from a friend and went to Ohio to look at the car. It was a true barn find. The car had not been touched in years.

This is a base Camaro with not a lot of options. We don't have a build sheet, but can see the basics.
Features Include:
327 cu in V-8 / 210hp
2 Speed Automatic Power Glide Trans
4 Wheel Drums
Power Steering
Bucket Seats
Spare Parts

It is obvious, that the original owner did drive the car in the 31 years he owned it. It is showing some dings and a pretty good scratch on the rear right fender. The good news is that other than 2 small bubble on the lower fender by right side front wheel well, there is no rust we can see. Also there is a small notepad in the glove compartment showing the mileage up until 1981 when he must have stopped driving it much. It is showing 98,000+ miles. So, the mileage is about 119851.

The interior is in good condition, not perfect, but it is original. The trunk is very solid and the engine compartment looks like it has been untouched for years.

The good news about this survivor is that when the current owner brought it home, it took very little to get the car in good running condition. The fuel tank was close to empty and there was an empty bottle of Stabil in the trunk. The fuel tank looked very clean, so he just added 93 Octane gas with ethanol treatment and a stabilizer. He changed the oil and refilled with ZDDP for flat tappet cams. He also filled the radiator , tuned the carburetor, and changed the spark plugs.

This is a nice solid car. You can get in it and drive it now, however it will need new tires before you go any distance. They have been on the car for 25 years as far as we know.
Or, you can use this great base car to create an incredible Restomod. Either way, it's a good car for the money.

Please call Maris at 214-616-2317 with questions. I can also assist with financing and shipping.
