Volkswagen North America demo car to introduce the dealers to the Phaeton. If you are reading this, you probably know what a special and rare car this VW W12 Phaeton is. The Phaeton was produced and sold in Europe from 2001 to 2016, but was only imported into the United States for 2004 and 2005. This car was purchased directly from a doctor in St. Luis and was maintained by the VW dealer. We purchased the car from him. We have driven the car a few thousand miles. This is the finest car Volkswagen has ever built, this car was $104,500 new. It has the famous W12 cylinder engine. The car is built on the Bentley Flying Spur chassis. It is known as 1/2 Bentley Flying Spur and 1/2 Audi A8L. Attached is a video showing all the specs of the car.
This car has a clean Carfax and has never been in an accident. A strong wind knocked down a basketball net at the owner's home, it hit the hood of the car and made a small dent. The wind pushed it off the side of the car, which resulted in a small scratch on the fender. We took it to a professional body shop, they repaired and repainted the damaged spots. The finish quality on the two areas that they did were not to the standard we had hoped for. You can see fine sand marks in two small areas. This wouldn't take too much to fix if it mattered to you, but we felt we should point it out. We can send a zoomed in photo, if you'd like to see. There is an airbag light on the dash, a computer scan shows that the module is defective, we are including the airbag module with the sale. The paint has a small area where the paint bubbled, as shown in pictures. It is not rust. This is a well maintained and cared for car, always garaged, but it is 20 years old and may have some small imperfections on the exterior of the car. for a full description of the Volkswagen Phaeton look at the wikipedia site for the Phaeton. This is an amazing car.
The car runs and drives beautifully. The interior is close to new condition.
