Selling our collectable, one of a kind Volkswagen EuroVan MV "weekender type" camper van.

Not a typical factory VW Westfalia or Winnebago Weekender but a www.countryhomescampers.com build - stunning in bright VW Jamaica blue. I have never seen another like it on the road and maybe just one or two in different colors online only.

7 interior seats (2 rear facing, removable for more room), 2 interior beds (twin in pop top, aprox queen size below with seats down) fitted folding table, dual front and rear AC zones and unique pop top roof. It’s a real head turner. Body, roof and interior in great shape for the age, some imperfections to be expected.

Sold as a project only. Was previously valued by various EuroVan specialists anywhere between $23k - $28k due to uniqueness and condition.

Our very sad loss = your gain. We had so much fun with it but do not have time for a project.

She overheated due to radiator blockage and cracked the cylinder head. Mainly needs a replacement head or motor swap plus a few other bits to have it back to glory. Front end is disassembled following inspection so easier to inspect and start work on. Everything but the head is included within the van. We just don't have time for a project. See bottom for more info on where to find parts for the job etc if you need. Contact me any time for questions or for a video walk through/inspection.

About the van:

She is a 2.5 gas automatic transmission in rare Jamaica blue, built into a weekender van in San Diego CA by www.countryhomescampers.com. 184k miles on the clock.

Bodywork in great looking condition as in pics. A dry-kept California van from new. Has had a paint refresh at some point but no major damage. Some signs of age as to be expected. Is in original color scheme and overall looks superb for a 30 year old van.

Unlike Westfalia/Winnebago it benefits from dual zone front driver and back passenger AC - perfect for SoCal summers and desert trips. Also double interior lighting units in the sleeping cabin areas.

The straight-up pop top roof provides a twin bed above to the (aprox) queen bed below when seats are folded down. Also gives more headroom above than a typical Westie and the larger original VW roof left uncut for this type of top gives more rigid handling and less road noise. The canvas is more like marine sail cloth than thin tent fabric so it's super durable, quiet and resistant to weather. Zippable bug screens on all sides above, bug screen inserts for the sliding windows below included.

Loads of parts upgraded or replaced including:

 Also included

Probably load of other bits included I've forgotten about too.

We intended to swap the motor to another 2.5 gas and also swap the transmission from automatic to 5 speed manual while everything was out. We found a strong running donor van with 2.5 gas engine and 5 speed manual transmission owned by a mechanic shop nearby that we could put the new owner in touch with. Also, Tomas at Quality German Auto in Victorville has every EuroVan motor, tranny or part you could need available for shipping nationwide  (https://g.co/kgs/VRjHhWs) . They can also help with upgrade to a turbo diesel engine.

Viewing recommended and questions welcomed. Hope we can find our van a new home that will enjoy as much as we did! Note: Registration was neglected so about $200-ish in CA registration fees currently owed.
