Now this 1970 R/T will turn some heads! Tuxedo combination colors are absolutely killer! This is really what drew me to this car. the fact it is a real R/T with a 440, pistol grip shifter, and the 4.10 Dana rear sealed the deal! Not only is it stunning to look at, it's a blast to drive!

EXTERIOR: Slick mirror like finish. The black paint is polished well enough to shave in. The body panels line up straight. There's no shrinkage or ripples in this paint job! Born with the optional R/T package which features a very stylish front valance, power bulge hood that's fitted with dual hood pins and a racing flip open gas cap. It's stanced perfectly on 15" Rallye wheels with Cooper Cobra radial tires. Now what sets this apart is the white accented vinyl top. It's in very good condition with no cracks or tears. The glass appears to be original and in really good condition. The trim is good with light patina as well as the chrome bumpers. You could add white hood or side stripes to really make it pop!

INTERIOR: The interior is good! It's not a brand new restoration but it's nice enough to show off and not be afraid to drive around. Again, the white interior pops so well from the black and really sets this R/T apart from others. The door panels have been dyed white and are in good condition, The white bucket seats are in really good shape with a Hurst 4 speed pistol grip shifter in between them. The carpet fits well, and the headliner is original but still in good shape with minor wear. The woodgrain Rallye dash face is a perfect contrast to the black and white. It appears to be original and still in good shape. It holds working gauges including the tachometer. Last but not least, it's been upgraded with a Sony stereo and custom sound system.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Under the hood is impressive! It's been upgraded to a period correct 440ci engine pushing 450HP. Built with flat top pistons, and a nice 509 Mopar Cam. It's completed with MSD ignition, aluminum high rise intake with dual feed Holly carb, Edelbrock air cleaner, billet pulleys and brackets, and a fuel pressure regulator with AN hoses and fittings.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Under the trunk lid has been painted smooth, and glossy, as well as the jamb. New weather-stripping has been installed. The entire trunk itself was also painted black and glossy. It is completed with a trunk mat, giant subwoofer with a big amp to power it.

UNDERSIDE: Ground up restoration, rust free. The front suspension components look to be replaced, upgraded poly bushings in the steering, and front sway bar. The rear leaf springs, and air shocks were replaced and look very clean. This Challenger is upgraded with 4 wheel disc brakes. The gas tank looks new, as well as the lines and high flow inline fuel pump. The dual exhaust is clean with H pipe, FlowMaster mufflers, and completed with quad square tips. Looking up at the motor it has a larger capacity pan, and everything looks dry. It's mated to its original numbers matching 4 speed manual transmission. The rear end is HD Dana 60 4.10 sure-grip correct to the car, with a chrome cover. The floors, and frame rails are very nice clean metal that were prepped, and refinished nicely.

Service: Through our stellar shop inspection, the following items have been repaired, installed, and fitted to the car. We extensively went through this R/T to make sure it's in top mechanical driving condition. The carb was replaced and adjusted; the timing was set. A new aluminum water pump was installed. All new factory gauges were installed and functional. We adjusted the reverse linkage and switch, replaced speedo gear to show proper speed. New sway bar end links were installed and a 4 wheel alignment performed. New door bumpers and seals installed as well as passenger window regulator. New front calipers, pads and rotors were also installed. This was all completed for a grand total of $5,500!

This is just a fun, iconic muscle car. Introduced at the height of American muscle, this Challenger R/T checks all the boxes. Not only does it look really good, it drives really nice as well. Take this out for a cruise and be proud to show it off. It'll be a conversation starter wherever you take it. The look, sound, and upgrades are why we fell in love with it.

A significant amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my professional impression of the vehicle. Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video that explains the car's condition in detail. **These cars are displayed in a museum. If interested in a particular car, make an appointment with a salesman to see that car. Without an appointment there is an admission fee to enter the showroom. If you buy a car, your admission will be refunded, and you will be given a 1 year membership.

About Volo Auto Museum

No other collector car dealer has been in business longer than the Volo Auto Museum.  Owned and operated by the Grams family since 1960.  We are the only collector car dealer that has 4 generations of experience with buying, selling and consigning classic autos.  For our family, classic cars are more than a business, it is a passion.  Over the decades, we have maintained a reputation for dealing with integrity as proven with our high reviews and A+ rating with the BBB.

Buying a classic car can be exciting, but also stressful.  We want to take the stress out of your buying experience by allowing you the time and tools you need to get to know the car you are interested in before making your investment, not after.  Unlike auctions, we allow test drives, 3rd party inspections, the use of our shop and car lift.  No reasonable request will be turned down.

Selling a car can be equally stressful, but it doesn’t have to be.  After reviewing your quality collector car, we will discuss the options we have available to you and let you decide what works best for you.  We have cash available for immediate sales and we also offer a consignment program that surpasses anyone else’s.   Unlike percentage based programs with fees; we work with a no fee, net to owner.  This allows us the opportunity to treat and market your car as if it were our own.  We invest approximately $1500 of our own money into marketing your car, which means if it doesn’t sell, we lose, not you.  So, we are more aggressive in selling your car!
