Under the hood, this beast roars with a 440 stroked to a 505 cubic inch V8 engine, delivering an impressive 625 horsepower and 653 ft-lbs of torque. The stroker kit from 440 Source includes H-beam rods, platinum series pistons, Chevy size H series rod bearings, and a 1/4" main girdle setup. The engine's performance is further enhanced by Harland Sharp 1.5 roller rockers, an SFI fluid damper, and a high torque mini starter. Fuel is fed through a Quickfuel 1050 AN carburetor with a mechanical secondary, and ignition is precisely managed by an MSD Digital 6AL with a limiter.
The powertrain is completed with a CRT Racing-built 727 transmission featuring a full manual reverse shifter, a Hughes 4000 stall converter, and a Denny's nitrous-ready driveshaft. The truck's exhaust system is optimized for performance with TTI 2" ceramic coated headers, 3.5" collectors, and Dynomax mufflers. Cooling is efficiently handled by a Meziere electric water pump, Derale electric dual fans, and an aluminum radiator, ensuring that this engine runs as cool as it is powerful.
The exterior is complemented by custom lightweight Center Line wheels, with M/T Sportsman Pros 26x7.5x15 on the front and Hoosier Quick Time Pros 29x14.5x15 on the rear. The truck sits lowered on both ends with roll pans and features a modified fiberglass R/T hood with larger scoops and a ram air system. The Lexan windows in the doors provide modern functionality while maintaining vintage aesthetics.
Inside, the D100 is equipped with race seats featuring Race Quip 5-point harnesses and an 8-point rollbar, ensuring safety and stability. The cockpit is further augmented with an array of Auto Meter gauges, including a Phantom tachometer with a shift light, and a B&M Mega ratchet shifter. The black interior is finished with a new carpet, enhancing both comfort and style.
The chassis and suspension are equally impressive, featuring a narrowed 8 3/4 rear axle with 742 housing and 4.30 gears, Moser Axles, and 10" drum brakes. The front suspension is custom-built with adjustable upper control arms by SPC and Wilwood disc brakes. Weighing in at 3320 pounds with a balanced cross weight of 49.5 percent, this truck drives great and true.
