PLEASE BE AWARE I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO END THIS AUCTION WITH BEST OFFER.

This old, 1968 Chevrolet C10 short bed Resto rod pick up truck was a full nut and bolt off frame rotisserie restoration, starting with a beautiful original 1968 Chevrolet C 10 Step-side, short bed truck body. The full restoration was documented with photographs when started which are now in the photo album you will see in the still photos along with restoration receipts shown in still photo.
This truck belongs to my son-in-law and was restored to a very high-level. My son-in-law and his dad worked for years building this truck to the status you see now. While the process of restoration was taking place, his dad was diagnosed with a rare stomach cancer. They had the truck more than 95% complete when his dad sadly passed away and their project was stalled.
Soon after my son-in-law registered and titled this vehicle in his name. The registration sticker is still on the windshield with his license plates still on the truck. He drove this truck like you are viewing it for years and then put it into heated dehumidified storage.
This is a list of what went into the vehicle in the restoration process. A rebuilt 1970 Chevy 350 4 bolt main high-performance motor with an Edelbrock Jet Hot Coated aluminum intake with Edelbrock carburetor, aluminum radiator, high-performance heads, a Richmond Gear 4 + 1 transmission 5 speed.
This is not an overdrive transmission, it has a low first gear. Jet Hot Coated full length Hooker Headers, with stainless steel exhaust, a Walter Prosper air cleaner. All aluminum valve covers and pulleys. A 12 bolt Chevrolet rear end with 3:73 gears.
This rear end has a brand new Eaton Posi Traction unit. You will notice they also installed a new suspension which was reworked with air ride technology that works beautifully to raise and lower the chassis. This chassis was sand blasted down to bare metal and primed with DuPont Vari-Prime self etching primer, with second and third coats of DuPont Imron grey primer. The final black coat was done in DuPont Centari.
There are hundreds of hours re-designing the metal structure of the body as you can see. This process was extremely time consuming and very professionally done. You will notice all the detailing of the 4” chop top along with 3” channel of the floor. All body reveals are in line. With aluminum diamond plate, 2” tub, interior of bed. Fuel cell installed under the rear bed floor. The original fuel tank was removed from behind the drivers seat.
All side marker lights have been shaved. All new braking system with power disc brakes upfront. All new white face AutoMeter gauges with green backlight, ididit tilt steering column. This truck is fully restored and painted as photos will show.
This truck runs drives and shifts beautifully as mostly everything was brand new when installation was done with very low hours of driving since registered.
An Alpine am/fm cd player installed. You will notice the very expensive Billet Specialties wheels with Goodyear tires that were installed. 20x9.5 rear wheels 18x8 front wheels. These alone were over $5000.
He drove this truck just the way you see it and won first place at antique truck shows. After his dad‘s passing, he kept this truck in heated dehumidified storage at his fathers family bus line company that you will see in the still photographs taking short test drives to keeping the truck fully exercised.
Some of the items that need to be completed can be purchased from LMC truck company.
Now my son-in-law has three young children and in these hard times he has decided to sell and let the next owner enjoy it.
You will notice it needs window regulators and glass in the doors with inside door handles. Also rearview mirror, dome light and sun visors will need to be finished. The exhaust tail pipes and the dash needs the trim piece.
The heater core needs to be installed and a few other small items like the shifter rubber boot, and rubber brake and clutch peddles.
The paint job is beautiful and shines a DuPont Chroma Base/Clear System, Mercedes Brilliant Silver paint.
There is so much more to list I'm sure I have missed some items in this listing. Please call before bidding. Truly a beautiful truck needing minor restoration to complete that can be driven as is till restoration is completed which would be a great winter project.
