1955 Chevrolet 3100 Cameo Carrier pickup was refurbishedunder prior ownership and acquired by the seller in 2022. The truck wasrefinished in white and red over a color-coordinated interior, and it ispowered by a 265ci V8 paired with a two-speed automatic transmission.Additional features include a fiberglass tailgate and bedsides, 15? steelwheels, whitewall tires, a dual exhaust system, and a Custom Autosound digitalstereo. Now offered with a clean North Carolina title in the seller’s name.

The Task Force pickup was Chevrolet’s successor to theAdvance Design line of trucks and was produced from 1955 until 1959. CameoCarriers were equipped with a fiberglass tailgate and bedsides, a concealedspare tire carrier, and unique trim. The truck was repainted in white with redaccents during the refurbishment performed under prior ownership, and the woodbed floor was replaced and refinished. Mild misalignment in the door gaps andwindshield wipers have been removed. The uninstalled wiper arms will accompanythe truck.

Red-finished 15? steel wheels wear bowtie-logo hubcaps,chrome trim rings, and whitewall tires. Drum brake system was overhauled, theshocks were replaced, and the steering box and linkage were rebuilt under priorownership.

The cab was re-trimmed during the refurbishment and houses abench seat upholstered in white vinyl and red cloth along with coordinated doorpanels and red carpets. A Custom Autosound digital stereo is installed alongwith an overhead speaker above the windshield. Door handles and windowmechanisms do not operate smoothly, but easily adjustable.

The red-finished steering wheel frames a 100-mph speedometerand gauges for engine temperature, amperage, oil pressure, and fuel level. Thefive-digit odometer shows 168 miles, 160 of which were added under currentownership.  True mileage is unknown.

The 265ci V8 is equipped with a single carburetor, anoil-bath air cleaner, and a canister-style top-mounted oil filter housing. Thespark plugs were replaced, the carburetor was rebuilt, and the oil was changedin September 2022.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a two-speedautomatic transmission. Chassis was refinished in gloss black during therefurbishment. The dual exhaust system terminates beneath the front of the bed.
