About this vehicle

This 1970 Chevrolet Impala convertible was a extremely dependable driver at vacation home for decades. Current owner purchased from original owner over 40 years ago in Largo Florida with 39,000 miles. It was always used at vacation condo in Florida by both owners and only operated couple months each winter. The engine runs smoothly however has not been on road in years. The Gold color and clean title make it a great addition to any car collection. 52,166 original documented miles. If you took the car right now and drove it a thousand miles it wouldn't surprise me. If you went down the street and hit the brakes and they all locked up that wouldn't surprise me either. That's why we're selling it as is and not driving it.

Seller's Notes

Car spent its whole life in Florida until it was brought to Ohio and kept in storage probably in the late '90s. Maybe mid-2000? It was always licensed with Ohio historical tags even when in Florida. It has not been driven in years but starts right up. AC compressor kicks on and off when turned on and off. Have not tried power windows.

Vehicle Details

Beautiful head turner for many years at Florida vacation condo. In 1990s car was near perfect and after paint touch up and new carpet a car cover was placed on it. Big mistake! Returning the next year car cover had been soaked from tropical storm even though car was in garage under condo. This caused rust all over body and chrome. Because car has never been driven in snow or salt the undercarriage appears fine.
