I have loved driving this car but it's time to move on. You too can own an Aston Martin like James Bond for the price of a Toyota. My wife says I have too many cars. Text me if you are interested.Vehicle Details
I am selling my beautiful 2007 Toro Red Aston Martin Vantage V8. The Aston Martin is Britain's answer to Ferrari and Lamborghini. The V8 Vantage was introduced in 2003 under Ford's ownership as a two-seat, two-door coupe with a bonded aluminum structure for strength and lightness. In 2004 Aston Martin started producing their own engines in Cologne, Germany, and the 4.3-litre quad-cam 32-valve V8 produces 380 bhp at 7,300 rpm and 409 Nm torque at 5,000 rpm. Acceleration of 0-60 mph in 4.8 secs with top speed of 175 mph. The engine is a dry-sump design allowing it to be mounted lower in the frame for better center of gravity and superior handling.
The car has Aston Martin's "Sportshift" automated 6-speed manual transmission, similar to Ferrari and Lamborghini. While not a true automatic transmission, the Sportshift changes gears for you in automatic mode, or you can change gears using the paddles in manual mode. So the car still has a clutch, it's just operated by the car. The original AM clutch was a single plate design with a heavy stock flywheel that tended to wear quickly. I had the clutch replaced with a Velocity AP twin-plate clutch and lightweight flywheel by Aston Martin San Diego for $10,000 in 2022 at 36,500 miles for smoother changing and better wear (will probably last the life of the car). They also replaced the transmission ASM hydraulic lines and gaskets at the same time. The car has upgraded wheels by Bojix Design with VerdeForm VFF01 wheels and Nitto NT555 G2 low profile tires. I have replaced the gas struts for the hood, hatchback and doors so all stay open. Clean vehicle history, no accidents or repairs. Paintwork is excellent. Interior is gray leather with red stitching in beautiful condition. AM car cover included. Shown at the San Diego British Car Club Annual Meeting in 2023 for Aston Martin's 110-year anniversary. Car has always been in Southern California. Front lower control arms and seat heater/coolers replaced under NHTSA recalls in 2010 and 2014.
