Vehicle Details

1975 Toyota Landcruiser FJ40. This FJ was a Texas truck and has minimal rust, basically limited to the driver and passenger floor pans. Very straight body otherwise. I have owned a few of these and, from what I can tell, this truck is original other than the paint, sunroof (installed by others) and wheels. Original color looks to be mustard yellow. I also think that it has a factory brush guard, which is very rare. I have put new tires and wheels on and they have less than 50 miles on them. The truck ran and drove very good what little time I drove it. A few moths ago, I cranked it and it was idling when the engine locked up. I pulled the oil pan and it appears that the nut that holds the oil line to the rear cylinder came loose (or was not tightened properly by someone in the past). I have pulled the engine and transmission and they are sitting on a pallet. I love old trucks, especially these old FJ's', but I simply do not have the time to spend on it. This is one of the better FJ's that I have came across as far as having a very good, straight body. The transmission is fine and the engine rebuild should be simple. I know what I have and I am not in a bind to sell, so price is firm. This is a good truck to drive like it is or an outstanding start for a total renovation. Pictures are prior to engine and transmission removal. I can assist with loading. If you buy, the truck doesn't leave my possession until I have complete, verified funds.
