1973 Pontiac Formula 400ci, Unmolested, PHS Documented (see pics), Automatic, AC, Low Mile California Car, Rare Paint Code 26 "Regatta Blue", California 1973 Pontiac Formula 400. This is one of only 4,622 Formula 400's built in 1973. With a total build of 46,313 Firebird's of all configurations, that makes this a pretty rare Bird indeed. Regatta Blue and AC also make this a very desirable build that you don't see that many of. It is from California, so the body is way above average. Be sure and look at the underside photos, especially the rear frame rails and floors. They are in excellent shape. It runs and drives very nice has some of the patina that some are looking for. This car is very original, very solid and very clean being from California. This car was in extended storage for many years. It is now running and driving great, but I recommend newer tires before any long distance road trips. All in all, this may be the very original Pontiac you have been looking for.

Pontiac built just over 4,000 Formula 400 models in 1973 and Pontiac would rein supreme in the end of the muscle car era. The 1973 front end is a collector favorite in the marketplace and especially on the Formula 400. This particular stunning example is a numbers matching example of a "W66" Formula 400 with Pontiac PHS paperwork. In addition it has its original owners manual as well. All the exterior lights work. All the gauges work. All the dash lights work, the trunk light works, the glovebox light works, both footwell lights work, the dome light works, the ashtray light works, the console shifter light works. The car runs and drives very nicely. The engine is very strong with no smoke or leaks. This car looks, starts, runs and drives great and is very clean in and out with a very tidy engine bay and trunk. Trunk floor is solid and clean. The underneath of this car is incredibly clean (from California) with original factory overspray and red oxide primer showing. It would be very hard to find a nicer Formula for the money. These cars have been on a continuous upswing with collectability.

Overall the car was gone through from top to bottom but again, it is NOT a perfect 100 point concourse winner. It is VERY NICE just not a 100k resto. Still needs a few tiny details addressed and minor aesthetic issues as you'd expect.

Low original miles 45,860 miles unverified but believed to be accurate. Hard to find extremely clean Firebird Formula 400. This classic Pontiac was in long term storage but now its back on the road.
Items worth noting: Heater and heater fan non functional. AC components are all there but the belt is not on. Horn is not working.
