I am only the 2nd owner since 1970! Having lovingly maintained it and have all the history since ownership, plus the original handbook, leaflets and number plates, when the first owner Carolyn Gaunt drove it off the forecourt on 14th of May 1970.
At 61,700 original miles, (which will go up slightly) it drives as it should, internally no rips, scuffs, cracks, sagging, etc. The clock doesn’t work on the dash, the AM radio needs an AM aerial.
I’ve had bits of paintwork done for stone chips and protection, but 98% is original, the Dynoc wood effect wrap, with original matching numbers, engine, gearbox and even the original spare tyre!
Nearly Famous! It was also very close to being in The Crown series, but following last-minute cancellation of the two scenes, it was not to be ?
The originality and rarity of this wagon is where the value is and why it will only continue to rise.
Please be aware, the Colony Park is based in Blackpool UK, and will require the buyer to arrange the cost of shipping the vehicle anywhere outside of the United Kingdom.
I would recommend Hill Shipping in the UK as they are the company I used. It arrived as it left Fresno California, with no damage at all. I recommend paying extra for a 2 car container.
