Car is built on the W123 platform and powered by the beloved OM617.952 inline 5 turbocharged engine. This was the final and best evolution of this engine. Can actually hold its own vs the older models. It has all the original manuals and roadside accessories. Comes with one master key and a valet key. All windows work, including sun roof. Original factory radio and auto telescoping antenna fully functional. The entire vacuum door lock system works and holds for months. Uncommon to find majority of the original systems are intact and functional. I cannot speak to the operation of the A/C but the automatic climate controls work and have used the heater many times. Beneath the factory floor mats leaves the untouched black carpet. Beneath the carpet and interior panels the car has a factory look, plastic vacuum lines and wires and cables still look supple and factory. The seats and interior are in excellent condition. The epoxy on the wood bezels have a couple heat cracks but could be stripped and restored if someone was inclined. No rust, no major defects. I have shown this car in shows the way it is and it always attracts a conversation, reminiscing of the way they were built. Truly a fine piece of German engineering of the era. Step back in time and experience 1984.
