This 1995 Mazda MX-5 Miata has been our well-loved summer-only car for 10 years, garaged in winter. New tan soft-top.
It is absolutely loaded with extras (see list) and has been very well maintained by us and the previous owners (see the AutoCheck report). Our local garage has looked after this car and last week we had them check through everything and comment on the condition - "great example of a '95 MX-5, no rust". It passed with flying colors, no issues at all and no rust on the body, clean underneath.
She is a classic older car, so there are odd things about it that we haven’t minded. The seats are what some might describe as ‘worn in’ - but they are super comfortable and new covers are easily available. There are dings the size of a dime in a few places - always caused by idiots who don’t look when parking next to our car and opening their doors thoughtlessly. The left rear indicator glass has a crack - but is perfectly functional. The front console cover that is directly above the instrument panel sometimes comes a bit loose - we just velcro it back in place. The front bumper is not as shiny and has some minor blisters. On all Mazda Miatas of this era that panel is not metal. Also the AC doesn’t work, but you can just lower the top! The RAC badge will be removed.
She used to be the classic blue - but the previous owner before us liked black Miatas, and the dull paintwork needed a re-spray anyway - so it went a classic black. The nice thing is that the bodywork shines more than most cars of her age.
To the best of our knowledge this car is in great shape, the defects are commensurate with the age of the car, and do not effect the safety or operation of the vehicle. We are not mechanics but driving her is a joy. The video of the dual exhaust makes this little car sound like a Ferrari, check it out! We are very happy to provide any more information if we can, or photos.
