This 1957 A 120 received a body off frame restoration of a totally rust-free western truck. The restoration was completed about 10 years ago and it has lived in a climate-controlled environment ever since. It only goes out on suitable days and of course is a fair-weather cruiser. It was featured in Four-Wheeler magazine article “Looking Back’, in the Corn Binder Connection article “Binder Pilots”, won a first in class " at the IH Nationals, "Pickups, Show, 1950 to 1959, and interestingly, at Summit Racing show for independent brands a few years back, it took Best Independent Truck. It is a documented low mileage truck showing just over 42,000 miles (and still churning). Wearing IH’s classic white with persimmon two tone (yes, persimmon according to the build sheet- looks like coral to me!)). The 240 CI Black Diamond purrs and takes you right down the road. The paint is base coat /clear coat, and it sparkles, the chrome is in excellent condition and of course it has the “Custom Cab” (I think that means you get arm rests and a sun visor on the passenger side). This truck still has the original door cards which are two toned. Originally equipped with a 4:77 differential, I changed it over to 4:10 gears and it will go down the road at 60 MPH without straining the Black Diamond. Now take note, I did NOT change the front differential to match the rear as I could not see myself ever taking this truck off road. However, I do have a new in the box set of matching gears for the front differential to go with the truck. This binder is equipped with an electric fuel pump as I tired of changing out the mechanical pumps that while branded as American Companies were likely made someplace else. I do have the build sheet too.
This is a 4-gear manual transmission with the typical creeper gear, it has stainless steel exhaust and tail pipes and rolls on full 10 ply Goodyear tires. Fresh oil, filter and grease and ready to go! It has the under-bed spare which is a new full 10 ply Goodyear to match the 4 it is rolling on.
I have clear title in hand in my name. The VIN is SA 7489. Both title and truck will be released when payment in full is made and received. I will accept cash or cashier's check from a US based Bank, and the check must clear before releasing the title or vehicle. I will assist in any practical way to help loading for transport. Note, as with any used vehicle, there are no warranties or guarantees of any kind.
