Seller's description

i have owned this beauty for over 20 years.i bought it from the original owner who bought it new and remained in san jose, california until i brought it to Florida. these are rather rare today and i don't think i have ever seen another one in person on the highway .the car was designed by pininfarina the coach builder who designed approx 98% of all Ferrari's ever made. this one is a 3/4 scale to the 1962 Ferrari 250 v12 engined pininfarina coupe and spyder. The main difference in the body style was the front grill, otherwise its a twin sister to the $700,000-900,000 Ferrari 250 pininfarina . this car as i mentioned came from its home in san jose california. the owner had a good sized collection of cars, etc and he kept this car being it was the last car he wanted to sell as he was terminally ill . the car shows and drives very nice .it has just the right amount of patina on it to make it a original type car. this is a very nice "DRIVER" the paint has held up EXTREMEMLY WELL despite it being a 20 year old repaint. look at the pictures carefully as its a straight bodied car. the main reason you dont see many Fiats anymore is most of the models rusted out badly and easily. being a california car there is no rust ever on it.i also did not have to buff the paint to take these pictures.all i did wash wash it getting rid of the pollen that was on it sitting in the garage. this car has the first year of 5 speed transmission so engine RPM is approx 3,000 rpm going 70 mph down the road. engine is sound and oil has been changed every year. it does not smoke at all. the muffler is a custom made ferrari muffler/exhaust tip made out of stainless steel. it gives it a real sports car sound of the 50's/60's the car rides and drives very nicely .transmission syncro's are superb condition. the engine runs great and has a weber carb on it. this car unlike other british cars i have dosent leak when in a rain storm.. heater ,all lights, instrument guages, etc all work properly .bumper chrome is good ,with the proper amount of patina ,but certainly not show chrome,as its original with no rust on them. this has been largely trouble free in over 20 years.i initially,i put new fluid in the brakes and have done yearly brake system flushing of the system to keep it in good working order it has ALWAYS BEEN the most trouble free car in my collection.it starts and runs every time.it has never sat outside even 1 night and has never seen salt roads .(i learned along time ago that california is a very desirable place to buy a car or motorcycle,as salt on the roads from states that use salt on the roads to dissolve snow and ice, eat up a car of this vintage.i am selling as i am starting to restore a fiat 850 spyder; when it will be totally put back together and i need the room in the garages to store the little car once finished as i am out of room. the car attracts every ones attention when i drive it. ... in summary ,its a very nice car that runs great, starts every time. feel free to call me anytime 352-598-7431( terry) NON REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT OF$5,000 DUE 48HOURS
