Vehicle Details

The CTS - V...The "4 door Corvette". The V1s, and heck, anything with a manual transmission is getting rare! 20 year anniversary of the V-series. The 2004 CTS-V was the first of the V-series models, so this car was produced in that first production run. Only 2409 were produced. Thus, value for the collector as most have been wrecked due to the STUPINESS of the car. I really don't want to sell the car, but space dictates the sale! My Father died and gave me his Pontiac Solstice. Thus my manual transmission fetish is resolved. These are some of the comments from other "V" owners..."Wow, what a sleeper! The average person (who doesn’t know what a V model is) would never guess this has 400 HP. At first glance until you notice the badging it looks like a normal Cadillac. These definitely had some features that were ahead of their time. The heated seats and Bose stereo are definitely nice features. Speaking of winter driving, a set of snow tires and judicious application of the gas and a few inches of fresh snow is no problem for this car. It is a very fast vehicle with a lot of nice features (heated seats are awesome in the winter!).The clunkiness of shifts and shifter in general were the worst parts of the car. Definitely going to miss this car! I'd love to get back in a V1 but all the local listings are for $15K+ with more mileage...Definitely going to miss this car!" My Car: Find one with a re-built transmission "The clunkiness of shifts and shifter in general were the worst parts of the car" and the upgraded Hurst Shifter. You might find one prettier, but nothing MEANER CTS = Catera Touring Sedan. The V + Victory. In summation: General Motors and the Cadillac team ensured that all CTS-V owners could have it all, with speed, performance, and luxury all wrapped up in a sedan. Lap time of 8 minutes 19 seconds at the Nurburgring Nordschleife track in Germany "Take your car down to the track and blow past anyone, while still being able to take your car for a cruise on the road without much bother..."The first-generation CTS-Vs were also known for their remarkable durability, as most owners barely ever needed to bring their cars to repair shops. Gearheads only for the following facts: The LS6 Corvette engine the car could go from 0-60 mph in 4.4 seconds. Top speed of 163 mph. 1st gear at 45 mph. I am sure that most are gone because they are STUPIDLY fun. My 2004 CTS-V: Upgraded the stock transmission (re-built), and installed a Hearst shifter. The biggest problem with the stock car was the shifter (quite sloppy). This is evidenced by reviews. The Hearst is a short throw, and tight shifting. A BIG improvement. Rebuilt drive train. The rest is original. No rust...some fading on the mirrors and peeling of the clear coat (normal). Tires are good (75%). Interior is good, leather is good. Brakes re-done. Wheels (original) are flaking and could use new rims. A few minors dents. All cosmetic. Car is a blast to drive!
