A muscle car in a tuxedo! This loaded top of the line Oldsmobile 98 has factory air conditioning, genuine leather upholstery, power accessories and the high performance J2 tri-power motor! It is anything but subtle with its sleek lines and abundance of extras including a continental kit, as if it wasn't already long enough! The mirror finish black and sparkling chrome will have you staring for quite a while. We acquired this car from the estate of a collector, he owned it for 30 years!

EXTERIOR: What an enticing vehicle! When you think of classic cars, the 50's cars had it right, they had style. The body is laser straight and the onyx black paint has a mirror like finish. All the chrome and stainless trim sparkle off the paint. Being an older restoration, there are a few small imperfections in the finish as you would expect. The windshield looks new, the vent window chrome has been refinished. It has the correct tri-bar hubcaps with Coker classic radial white wall tires. This 98 was equipped with the rare continental kit in the back, optional rear fender skirts, true twin spotlights up front, and auto dimming headlights!

INTERIOR: It is very luxurious from glove soft leather to an abundance of accessories. The door panels match the tri color seats. The seats could very well be original! They are in nice shape and have nice and soft genuine leather. The armrests are genuine leather! The nice padded dash was an option, and is equipped with a guide magnifier to see the traffic lights better. There's an optional clock at the top middle of the dash. Take a look at all of the chrome in the dash! The style is amazing and supersedes anything built in the present. This car was jam packed with power options including the top, antenna, windows, and seats. It has the original wonder bar radio still in place. Underneath the dash has been fitted with a few aftermarket vintage gauges, and floor console with stereo added and seat belts were added. There's a hideaway tissue dispenser and interior courtesy lights.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: The engine bay is sure used to its capacity. Fitted with the massive J2 Tri-Power 371CI V8 engine putting out 300HP. Now here's where it gets good: not only does it have power steering, and power brakes. This convertible came with air conditioning that works! The entire bay is clean and proper.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: This trunk is massive! The bottom lid has been painted nice and glossy; it has a new weather strip as well. Inside is completed with a grey trunk lining kit. There's an aftermarket olds mat that adds to the spice. A reproduction whitewall spare tire never been used, the jack has been repainted as well.

UNDERSIDE: Underneath looks to have been refinished at some point. Everything looks correct and rust free. It appears to have new shocks at all 4 corners, parking brake cables hooked up, upgraded with a new electric fuel pump, and dual exhaust with glass packs have been added. The correct 4spd Hydra-Matic trans is installed.

SERVICE: This vehicle went through our shop inspection. The reverse lights were repaired. The air conditioning was charged, and the wipers were repaired.

It's not often you'll find a top of the line 98 fitted with a convertible top, power interior, air conditioning and a J2 Sri-power under the hood. We bought 3 cars from this collector; it is easy to see why he kept this one for 30 years!

A significant amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my professional impression of the vehicle. Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video that explains the car's condition in detail. **These cars are displayed in a museum. If interested in a particular car, make an appointment with a salesman to see that car. Without an appointment there is an admission fee to enter the showroom. If you buy a car, your admission will be refunded, and you will be given a 1 year membership.

About Volo Auto Museum

No other collector car dealer has been in business longer than the Volo Auto Museum.  Owned and operated by the Grams family since 1960.  We are the only collector car dealer that has 4 generations of experience with buying, selling and consigning classic autos.  For our family, classic cars are more than a business, it is a passion.  Over the decades, we have maintained a reputation for dealing with integrity as proven with our high reviews and A+ rating with the BBB.

Buying a classic car can be exciting, but also stressful.  We want to take the stress out of your buying experience by allowing you the time and tools you need to get to know the car you are interested in before making your investment, not after.  Unlike auctions, we allow test drives, 3rd party inspections, the use of our shop and car lift.  No reasonable request will be turned down.

Selling a car can be equally stressful, but it doesn’t have to be.  After reviewing your quality collector car, we will discuss the options we have available to you and let you decide what works best for you.  We have cash available for immediate sales and we also offer a consignment program that surpasses anyone else’s.   Unlike percentage based programs with fees; we work with a no fee, net to owner.  This allows us the opportunity to treat and market your car as if it were our own.  We invest approximately $1500 of our own money into marketing your car, which means if it doesn’t sell, we lose, not you.  So, we are more aggressive in selling your car!
