This beautiful '55 Bel Air has undergone a complete restoration. Underneath the hood of this beauty sits a gorgeous GMPP ZZ572 V8 Crate Engine, rated at 620HP! The power is sent to the wheels through a 4L80E Transmission.
On the Exterior PPG Clear w/ Malano Red Tint, Chrome Bumpers front and back, Stainless Chromed Grill, Devoid of only the sideview mirrors and stuffy bumperettes this Beauty still proudly displays the driprails, door handles an all of its original ornaments.
Looking into the inside of this beauty it's sporting Beige Leather interior, Front Bucket Seats with Console, Beige Carpeting in the Floorboard and in the Trunk, Classic Instruments Comprehensive Pod, and Budnik Teardrop Steering Wheel.
This Beauty has been featured not once but twice, YES twice in a magazine. The first time it was featured was in the April 2015 issue of Chevy High Performance on pages 36-41. The Article was written by Ro McGonegal with photos by Grant Cox. In this article it featured Dusty Cox and his two sons Rusty and Jimmy with the restoration of this beauty that had sat in a garage for more than 30 years. The rebuilding of this beauty stretched out over a 6-year period of meticulous restoration. Within this meticulous rebuild this father and sons' job was done fabulously well with Accolades to show; in 2013, the five-five was included in the NSRA Top 12 Pro Class; in 2014 it cinched the Goodguys staff pick and the NSRA Mid-America Top 5 Pro category.
The Undercarriage is just as nice if not nicer than the exterior Sporting Budnik Wheels 18X8 front and 20X10 rear. Tires 245/40ZR18 front and 295/40ZR20 rear. Wilwood Brakes, 3" Exhaust Mandrell Bent Stainless, Chromed out pipes. Everywhere you turn is Chrome, Chrome, and more Chrome. Such a magnificent build and beautiful site to see.
The Second occurrence of this beauty being featured was in February of 2016 on page 44 of the Chevy High Performance Magazine. With credits to the April 2015 issue, photographer Grant Cox written up in this issue by Nick Licata. It made the Top 11 list.
