About Us:

Florida Direct Auto is an independent used vehicle dealer in Jacksonville, Florida that specializes in clean, hard to find vehicles at wholesale pricing. We have been in business here in Jacksonville since 2010 and between the 4 of us we have over 30 years of experience in the business, 10 of which has been in online sales. We keep our prices competitive because we have low overhead and we are run like a well-oiled machine. We trim out the unnecessary spending that a lot of other dealerships have and we also do volume instead of trying to make it all on one unit. All 4 of us are passionate about vehicles and we do our homework on each vehicle. As a business owner, I don’t want to put my hard earned money into a bad vehicle, so we actually drive and inspect the vehicles before we even purchase them.

We are approximately 20 minutes away from Fernandina Beach, which is a great place for a relaxing vacation with plenty of nice views of the ocean, golfing, great dining and plenty to see and do. A lot of customers from out of state (which is about 90% of them), like to sight see and make a vacation out of their vehicle purchase. Places like Daytona Beach, Saint Augustine, Orlando (Disney World, Universal, Epcot, etc.), Tampa Bay (Clearwater Beach, Busch Gardens) and more are popular spots.

Vehicle Pickup & Shipping

 

Vehicle Pickup:

  You can either drive to our location with another driver, rent a car and drive it one way (We are right next to the airport so we can pick you up free of charge at the rental return), or you can fly in and drive the vehicle back and we will pick you up at the airport free of charge as long as you provide us in advance with your flight information.

 

Shipping:

  We can get you a shipping quote if you provide us with your zip code. We set the whole thing up to where all you have to do is take delivery from the transporter. Shipping is door to door so it comes right to your house or business, unless you have special instructions to ship it elsewhere. We do not use a broker so we cut out the middle man, which saves our customers anywhere from $100-$700 on shipping, depending on the vehicle and location so we will beat most shipping quotes that you get. Shipping typically takes 5-7 Business days but can vary depending on the time of year, vehicle size and delivery location. We are located right off of I-95 so it is very favorable for shippers, which makes the shipping cheaper since it is convenient.

 

Deposits:

  Deposit amount is $500 and is due within 24 hours at the close of auction or immediately if you use the Buy It Now feature. Deposits are not refundable unless there is a major mechanical issue with the vehicle (for example, a slipping transmission or an engine that is overheating or knocking but not for simple routine maintenance issues like brakes, tire tread depth or cosmetic issues like scratches, dings or imperfections on the exterior or interior) and we do this to protect ourselves from non-serious buyers. We pay a lot of money to list vehicles on here and we simply cannot afford to pay relisting fees because someone changes their mind or the vehicle doesn’t drive like they thought it would. We’ve been doing it this way for 7 years and we’ve rarely had any problems because we describe vehicles accurately, but as for every aspect of life you cannot please everyone unfortunately.

2008 Lexus GX 470 4WD W/Mark Levinson & Rear DVD

 

*We have installed a brand new Bilstein 2.5" Lift kit with medium duty coils and Bilstein 5100 shocks to give it that lift to clear the brand new TRD Pro wheels in Matte Black wrapped in New 285x70x17 (32.8") Falken Wildpeak AT3's. What's great about this setup is it has the looks and capability of an off road rig but has the comfort of the everyday driver and that is why we choose to use the equipment that we use. The suspension isn't stiff and handles just about anything you'll throw at it with it having so much travel and the Falken tires are rugged but don't ride rugged. We have removed the factory air suspension, which isn't very reliable to begin with, and replaced it with more reliable and more capable suspension components so this SUV can do what it was designed to do and that's go off road! The ride quality that you expect from a Lexus was not sacrificed, it still rides really smooth and handles bumps very well. *190,000 Well Maintained Miles on this GX! The timing belt service was just completed by our shop using Aisin parts including water pump, timing belt, thermostat, idler, tensioner and new Toyota coolant. We have also replaced the valve cover gaskets, front and rear brakes & serviced front and rear diffs. This is a very good value for the condition with new upgrades, desirable 08'-09' model and baseline maintenance completed so don't hesitate because these typically don't last but a couple days before someone snatches them up. The seller shall not be responsible for the correct description, authenticity, genuineness, or defects herein, and makes no warranty in connection therewith. No allowance or set aside will be made on account of any incorrectness, imperfection, defect or damage. Any descriptions or representations are for identification purposes only and are not to be construed as a warranty of any type. It is the responsibility of the buyer to have thoroughly inspected the vehicle, and to have satisfied himself or herself as to the condition and value and to bid based upon that judgement solely. The seller shall and will make every reasonable effort to disclose any known defects associated with this vehicle at the buyer's request prior to the close of sale. Seller assumes no responsibility for any repairs regardless of any oral statements about the vehicle.

 

***TITLES***

   Our titles are held by what is called a Floorplanning company, they hold the title for us until the vehicle is paid for. Once the vehicle is paid for they overnight the title to us and from that point we then mail it to you (USPS Priority with tracking). We are Bonded in the State Of Florida so we have to provide you with a clean and clear title unless stated otherwise in the description of the vehicle. Most of the titles go out in 2 to 3 days after purchases, some take a little longer but we do our best to get it out as quick as possible. Most of the time we have copies of titles and can provide them to you or your bank. Please call (904)-571-1241 to obtain a copy.

Fees and Taxes

 As far as taxes are concerned, we do collect your state sales tax. So for example, if you live in Alabama the tax rate is 2% so you will pay 2% taxes to us and we will give you an out of state sales tax credit form that you take with you to the DMV showing that you have already paid your state taxes of 2% (or whatever your state tax rate is). You will be responsible for any county or city surtaxes (usually .5% or 1%), we just collect state taxes because Florida is reciprocal with 47 of the 50 States. Please call us to see if your state is reciprocal with Florida and also to see what your state sales tax rate is (some states have 0 sales tax rate, but you must be registering the vehicle in that state). We ONLY COLLECT TAXES if you are coming to pick up the vehicle, if you ship the vehicle we DO NOT collect your taxes.

 As far as Fees, we have a $299 Documentary fee which we collect to help cover costs for Cleaning vehicles, Preparing vehicles for delivery, Inspection, and mailing fees for paperwork, titles etc. This fee is non-negotiable, if you are a dealer and win the vehicle on Ebay you are also subject to this fee, if you are a dealer and want to purchase the vehicle minus the fee you must call us first. 30 Day Temporary tags are $5.95 and are good in any state and Canada. If you are registering the vehicle in Florida, we collect your taxes (state and county) and we also do your tag and title work so you do not have to go to the DMV to register the vehicle, we do your plate transfer and title transfer.
