This is a new listing for a remarkably well preserved, original 1931 Ford Pickup project that was definitely not a farm truck. It is the perfect candidate for full restoration, street rod or early hot rod. Our seller confirms that the truck runs and drives in its current condition. Few parts are missing but feel free to ask if not evident in the photos.
An original Model A engine is in the bay and appears complete. An original stamped number is clearly visible for registration requirements. What appear to be the original, unrestored transmission, front and rear axles, brakes and suspension are present. Wheels and tires have been updated with the more robust 1935 Ford wire wheels.
The sheet metal on this truck is exceptional including what appears to be a reproduction pick up box. A pickup box wood kit and mounting hardware along with the cab floor wood kit are present. While the typical bumps that occurred over time are present there is nothing even a beginner could not overcome. Rear fenders are fiberglass reproductions. With the exception of the running boards needing replaced and both doors having been patched along the lower four inches, there is little sign of corrosion damage.
Most all interior parts are present including gauge panel, trim, glass, window risers (need work) seat and floor. The lower cowl shows no sign of corrosion damage.
This truck offers a solid foundation for various levels of interestfrom full restoration to classic hot rod. It will be hard to find an original truck in similar condition.
