Details
This 1941 Chevrolet Suburban was treated to a full restoration in 2008 and shows 41,776 miles on the odometer but the total mileage is unknown. It’s powered by a 3.5L inline-six-cylinder engine paired with a manual transmission driving the rear wheels. The restoration included a repaint in beige with black fenders, and a chrome grille and bumpers. The interior is covered in brown vinyl upholstery that matches the bronze-painted dashboard and door and side panels. The wooden floor planks are complemented by tan upholstered upper trim and headliner. The refinished condition allows original Suburban features to shine including the manually adjustable vented windshield, six manually operated retractable windows and a folding passenger seat with in-floor storage. This example includes the original Chevrolet Super-Deluxe front heater and a Tropical Aire floor-mounted heater for the rear seat.
A third-party inspection report and professional photography detail the well-cared-for condition of the vehicle. The exterior paint is in good condition and presents very well, fifteen years after the restoration. The inspection and photos note a dent and paint scuff on the right rear fender where it appears to have made contact with another object. Minor scratches to the rear bumper and cracking of the rubber on the running boards are consistent with the age of the restoration. The interior is in good condition and all features operate as they should. Mechanically, a road test confirmed the smooth operation of essential components. The sale includes one key, an original 1941 shop manual and binder with photos of the restoration.

About the model
The second generation of Chevrolet Suburban debuted for the 1941 model year. The second generation was known as the Carryall Suburban, and was powered by a 3.5L inline six engine. These rear wheel drive cars were offered in a two door wagon body style, and was largely based on the Chevrolet AK Series. Production of the second generation Suburban was disrupted by WW2, with cars only offered for the 1941, 1942, and 1946 model years before being replaced by the Third Generation Chevrolet Suburban.
