Up for auction is a 1965 Lincoln Continental suicide four-door hardtop. This car was featured on Ted Vernon South Beach Classics:
Drive train
This 1965 Lincoln still retains the original style motor, which is a Ford 430 MEL and the current stock transmission. The motor had a complete rebuild in December 2019 this includes valves, springs, bigger cam, and decking of the heads just to name a few items, I have full receipts for the complete motor build. After all of this was done, a Holly East St., EFI system was installed for more reliable drivability. The original AC compressor had been retrofitted to take R 34.
Suspension
This 1965 Lincoln is completely on air ride from Accu air and is set up with two tanks and two compressors. The Accu air system currently installed is a four wheel leveling system, which is completely automated. The original wheels have been replaced with Detroit steel wheels and white wall tires. The body of this 1965 Lincoln will lay perfectly over the tires when completely aired out and has a stance like no other.
Sound system
The Soundsystem has had no expense spared either. The brands that were used include Rockford Fosgate, stinger, focal, kicker, pioneer and dynamite. The Rockford Fosgate system fits perfectly for the right amount of base needed for this big car. The focal mids and tweets balanced the inside from the pioneer double den head unit, which Includes navigation and backup camera. The dual batteries and the bigger amp alternator makes sure it has plenty of power to operate this large system.
Interior
The interior of this 1965 Lincoln is one of a kind. If you dare or want to be different, this is the car for you. The four custom bucket seats and custom dash insert make this interior wow anybody who catches a glimpse. All the window and vent window switches work as they should. Some additional features of the interior are a custom, two tone steering wheel and a Dakota digital dash.
Body/paint
The body is in nice condition being 59 years old. There is a slight bit of rust on the drivers side floor pan and the passenger side floor pan has been replaced. The paint on this 1965 Lincoln is strong 8.5/10. There are a few minor chips and dents, but with a paint correction this could be a real showstopper. All window, weather strips and trim have been replaced within the last year. All bulbs have been converted to LEDs with Dapper Lights halo front lights.
Overall, this is an awesome opportunity to own one of these 1965 Lincoln suicide four-door with all of the hard upgrades done. These Lincoln are getting harder to come by your chance on this one of a kind Lincoln is. Feel free to reach out with any questions and I would be happy to answer.
