Purchasing a vehicle is a big decision, and I strive to make your purchase an informed one.
What is a Michigan Rebuilt Salvage title?
*As defined by the state of Michigan.
“After a vehicle titled with a salvage title has been repaired or rebuilt, it can be titled and registered for road use again. The vehicle must first pass an inspection by a specially-trained law enforcement officer.
After the inspection, a new title is issued with the legend "REBUILT SALVAGE." This legend alerts future owners that the vehicle was once "totaled" by an insurance company. (Michigan.gov, Rebuilt Vehicles, 2019)
I'm not interested in this vehicle, do you have any other cars for sale?
Yes! I broker vehicles for multiple dealers, if you don't see what you are looking for don't settle. Give me a call or follow me (to receive alerts when a new car is listed), I may be able to find the vehicle you are looking for. I am always working on listing a new vehicle, it may be the one you are looking for.
Why buy a rebuilt vehicle?
When you buy a rebuilt vehicle you are getting a lot of car for your money. Many buyers are purchasing rebuilt vehicles now because of what they get for their money. You can get a newer model vehicle, less miles and more options than you would be able to get if you spent the same amount of money on a similar clear title vehicle. Rebuilt vehicles are inspected by specially trained law enforcement officers from the state of Michigan.
What did my car look like before it was fixed?
Every car is different; I save the original photos from the auction and list everything that was replaced on the vehicle and work that was done, I will share them upon request.
Where did this scratch come from?
I work really hard at photographing the car from EVERY angle; I upload videos and even facetime people who want a closer look. When there is a dent or scratch that I am aware of I photograph it up close and point it out. However there can be very minor scratches or dents that I am unaware of, due to normal wear and tear associated with pre-owned vehicles. After all, it's a used Vehicle!
Can I test drive it, or inspect it?
Yes! Give me a call, especially for local bidders, 3rd party inspections are welcomed. My goal as a seller is to be as transparent as possible, I want you to feel comfortable and confident when you bid or offer.. (Vehicle Sold AS IS).
What's an Insurance Total Loss?
The vehicle's title has an insurance company as the listed owner. This usually signifies that it is probably an insurance total loss when showing after an accident or collision. It doesn't mean that the vehicle is no longer safe to be on the Road, but it means that insurance companies label a vehicle a 'total loss' when the cost to repair the vehicle to its pre-damaged state exceeds the cost of the vehicle's worth, or actual cash value. Insurance companies must follow certain state law (defined percentage of damage before it can be deemed a total loss) and they also can set their own standards for totaled vehicles.
