1969 VW Beetle Baja Bug. 2110cc stroker engine, Performance IRS rear, Performance Transaxle, Disk brakes. No Reserve!
Up for sale folks; is this very nice Baja Bug. It's been featured in Hot VW's Magazine, enjoyed many cruise-in's, road trips, Bug-runs, and even my daily driver for the past 10 years. Drives very well. It was an honor to own this car and it's been kept up to snuff with yearly maintenance and year-round climate controlled parking. Here's the details:

- 2110 CC. CB performance Super Case. 82mm scat crank. Scat 5.500 rods. 90.5 mm Mahle cylinders. 125hp. Eagle FK7 cam. CB044 heads w/ 40x35.5mm valves. 8.6:1 compression. Webber 40IDF carbs. CB performance Magnaspark II dizzy. 1-5/8" Tri-mill exhaust w/ 4" supertrapp muffler. CSP throttle linkage.
- Transaxle (New in 2021) = Rancho Performance Pro street, Super Diff, welded 3-4 gear hubs, hardened keys. Rigid mounts. Gears: 4.37,, 3.80, NA, .82 <----Yes, last gear is for the Interstate!
- Porsche 930 IRS rear drive upgrade from Pacific Customs
- Rear Disk brakes: Baja Wilwood 120-16070. Pads = 6812.
- Front Disk brakes: SoCal imports, Longbeach, CA. Front pads= Jbugs 22-2992.
- Tires front = R601 205/70R15 96H on 15x8 rims.
- Tires rear = 31X10.50R15LT on 15x8 rims.
- 2024 New ball joints, suspension seals, and shocks
- 2023 New floor pans (with correct body-off installation) along with new body to chassis seal.
- 2024 New carpet
- Dual Cable Controls to carburetor enrichment levers
- SCAT Shifter with polyurethane bushing.
- Foot Pedals upgraded to 1966 cast-iron ones (’69 originals were sheet metal)
- Rear end upgraded to larger Porsche components including transaxle flanges, CV joint, half-shafts with larger splines, wheel carrier flange/wheel shafts along with new trailing arm bearings.
- 3 point retractable seatbelts up front.
- Gauges: Speedo, fuel level, fuel pressure, oil pressure, oil temperature, Voltmeter, Clock.
Being a 55 year old classic, she has some flaws which I will point out:
- The paint has a few rock chips up front, cracks around the door hinges.
- The rear right fender has a crack in it on the edge, as seen in the photos.
- The brush bars have rust on them
- as with most Baja Bugs, no heater
- The engine has an oil leak (sweating power)
- Steering wheel has some chips in it
- window felts work, but need replacing (I have new ones that come with the car)
