This 1982 Volkswagen Vanagon L features camping equipment from Country Homes Camper and is powered by a replacement 2.0-liter flat-four linked with a four-speed manual transaxle. It is finished in brown and tan and has a pop-top camper roof, a retractable side awning, sliding side windows, external utility hookups, and 14? steel wheels. The cabin is equipped with front bucket seats and a folding rear bench in addition to privacy curtains, storage cabinets, an aftermarket stereo, and a kitchenette with a sink, a refrigerator, and a two-burner stovetop. The van has spent much of its time registered in California and was acquired by the seller in 2023. This T3 is offered with manufacturer’s literature, service records, a Carfax report, and a clean California title in the seller’s name.

Finished in brown and beige with red stripes, the van is equipped with a Country Homes Camper pop-top roof as well as a retractable side awning, sliding side windows, dual side mirrors, and external utility hookups.

The 14? steel wheels wear silver covers and are wrapped in 185-series Nexen Roadian CT8 tires that were mounted in 2022. The van was factory equipped with an independent front and rear suspension and rack-and-pinion steering. Stopping power is provided by power-assisted front disc and rear drum brakes. The rear brake shoes, wheel cylinders, and drums were replaced in 2022.

The forward cabin houses cloth-trimmed bucket seats fitted with black and brown vinyl covers. An aftermarket Bluetooth stereo and speakers have been added.

The rear compartment is outfitted with a bench seat, wooden cabinets, privacy curtains, and a kitchenette with a sink, a refrigerator, and a two-burner stovetop (with propane tank). A power inverter has been added which allows you to be off-grid. External plug for shore power.

VDO instrumentation includes an 85-mph speedometer and an analog clock with an integrated fuel level gauge.

The 2.0-liter flat-four was replaced approximately 20 years ago. The crankshaft main seal was replaced in 2020, and the oil sump filter and gaskets were replaced in 2022. A fuel line and the fuel filter were replaced in June 2023, at which time an oil change was performed.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transaxle. The clutch disc was replaced and the flywheel was resurfaced in 2020.

It last passed a California emissions inspection in 2023.

Any questions, please ask! Just looking to get what we paid plus what we put into it. Selling it because we are moving out of state. My wife and add made a lot of fun additions (including to maintenance) like dice locks, skull gear shift, stickers, handmade curtains, decorative rug, and beverage holders. We also replaced the gasket on the fridge. Very clean and in remarkably good shape.
