The Pontiac Firebird was first introduced in 1967 and continued through 2002. The Trans-Am shared the platform with the Chevrolet Camaro and they were soon instant hits with the consumer.
Through the years, the Trans Am cars were powered by various four-cylinder, six-cylinder, and V8 engines.
The fourth generation cars were built from 1993 through the discontinuation in 2002. This generation of the F-body continued the aerodynamic formula initiated by the previous generation. The Camaro kept the exposed headlights and the Firebird's pop-up units, with some minor changes.
In 1998 the car received a facelift dominated by a new front fascia that now had four pop-up headlights vs. the two from before. It also had some other minor body changes.
The 2000 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am T-top offered here is dressed in a beautiful coat of pewter metallic over a black interior. This car has been owned by its current owner for the last 19 years and was only a fair-weather vehicle. It is powered by a 5.7L V8 paired with an automatic 4-speed transmission.
