Here we have a 1969 Mercedes-Benz 220 DIESEL (220D).  Manual transmission.  No A/C.

CLEAN PENNSYLVANIA ANTIQUE VEHICLE TITLE IN MY NAME.

This is a WESTERN U.S. car (now located in Bethlehem, Pa) and has ZERO RUST ANYWHERE, nor has it ever had any.  Garage-kept its entire life and came from an area where there's almost never any snow.  Most of the paint is still original, with the only exception I can see, looks like someone had the front fender tops and hood re-sprayed at one time, many years ago (presumably to fix stone chips).  Looking closely down both sides, I could detect one or two very minor parking lot dings.  Hard to notice unless you're looking for them and this is a very forgiving pastel color.

The interior is literally flawless.  The engine bay is quite clean with no detectable leaks.  The undercarriage looks just as good as the rest of the car.  The trunk still looks new inside, with the original spare tire and all the factory tools in place.  All glass and weather stripping are excellent.  The paint still shows a more than acceptable shine.

The previous owner was a fuss budget about maintenance and repairs.  He left a small notebook in the glovebox of all the maintenance performed.  There is a multitude of factory Mercedes service manuals in the trunk, along with an extra fan / alternator belt.

The Michelin tires are virtually new and evenly worn with no dry-rotting (although they were installed several years ago).

This car is tight in every way.  It drives perfectly, with no squeaks or rattles.  It goes down the road arrow-straight.  I've driven it to 70 mph and it worked perfectly.  The doors still close with that heavy Mercedes "thud".  The hinges are all still tight.  Although it starts up easily, and I know very little about these cars, it "might" need a new glow plug, as I'm not seeing the red light come on above the steering column.

I would drive this car anywhere with complete confidence.

This would make an awesome "Cars & Coffee" or "Sunday drive" car.

Here is the full history of the car as I know it:  The original owner passed and her attorney (also a judge) purchased it from her estate, (as he was an avid car collector).  He, also, later passed and his nephew inherited all of his vehicles.  Because the nephew is a busy professional and lives about 200 miles from where his uncle lived, he wanted to sell ALL the cars to ONE person, in order to save a lot of time and effort.  I buy, collect, restore and sell old Ford 4WD trucks and went there to buy one he had.  In order to get it, I had to buy them all, including this Mercedes.  Although it's a super cool little car and a lot of fun to drive, I have neither the room to store it, nor the time to enjoy it, so I'm offering it for sale.

If you have questions beyond what I've detailed here, please reach out.  I'd be happy to answer them.

My name is Marc.  I can be reached at (484) 895-9870.  I prefer calls over texts or emails.

Cash in person is best.  Any and all (bank) checks must clear prior to release of the vehicle and title.

I own a towing company and can transport, via rollback truck, at additional cost, within 300 miles of zip code 18017.  Please consider and solidify transport cost and timing before attempting to buy.  Vehicle must be paid for, in full, prior to transport.

FYI:  If you're a collector of German automobiles, I'm also about to list a '78 Beetle Convertible.  Champaigne Edition.  White in color.  54,000 miles.  Same condition as this Mercedes.
