Vehicle Details

1992 Ford F-150 Nite. This truck was bought by my daughter two and a half years ago with the intention of fixing it up. The truck starts and runs and has been driven locally the last two years. The description will be to the best of my knowledge and ability, but I am not a mechanic and know very little about auto mechanics or restoration. As stated, my daughter bought the Nite roughly two and a half years ago and wanted it as a project she could also drive. The truck was her second vehicle and was only driven locally. The truck was repainted before it was purchased, we do not have any information on when it was done or what brand paint was used. It is however in good shape with decent gloss and depth to it, especially for black. There are multiple photos of the body and close ups of any known blemishes or damage. There are two areas of rust that are in the photos with an underside photo of each side. This appears to be the only rust on the truck we find. The hood is an aftermarket steel hood with a two-inch cowl, we do not have the stock hood. The wheels on it are the original and in good shape, they have been used for winter storage. The tires will need to be replaced as they are dated but we do drive to and from storage on them and they hold air. Mechanically the truck has been reliable and starts right away even after weeks of sitting. That being said the truck will need work, at minimum it will need all the normal maintenance items replaced but may require more. The truck has a recent squeak from the belt area of the engine, the breaks are a little soft this year, the single Flo master is getting a little loud, and there is a slight weeping between the engine and transmission shown in photos. Check engine light illuminates once in a while but turns off with in a few seconds or minutes and the rear abs light does the same. The power steering pump also whines when it is cold outside or has not been driven in a while. Driving wise, the truck drives like an older vehicle. The steering is slightly vague and requires correction while driving and it suffers from slight squeaks/rattles over larger bumps. Nothing horrible and not as bad as I expected for a 32-year-old truck. The transmission shifts fine with no slipping or strange sounds noted on its ten-mile ride home this year. Since ownership it has had the following parts replaced, rear brake shoes, steering box, and tune up including cap, rotor, wires and plugs. It has also had a battery 5 mths ago, rear shocks, and oil changes. The head unit was replaced with a cheaper Kenwood unit; the factory unit will come with the truck. The interior photos represent its condition with the exception that the driver's side of the bench seat has a sag due to age. The lumbar still works on both sides. The dome light cover and rear window latch have broken due to age but will come with the truck. The dual gas tanks both hold fuel and the switch on the dash still allows use of both tanks. The frame and underside seem to have no issue, the photos represent the condition. The spare tire is missing from its underside, it did not come with one and we have never needed a spare. I have a video of it idling and an 8 min video of a local drive showing highway speeds that can be given upon request. The Nite is being sold via eBay motors due to my daughter going away to college. The truck has only been driven home from storage about ten miles and to take the current photos and driving video about 5 miles on (6-15-2024) this year. My daughter has not had the time or money to use it this year. Mileage is182,400 and the truck will not be moved until end of sale. Please, this is a project vehicle that is drivable and should be viewed as such. The truck is 32 years old with most of its original mechanical parts and will need work and continuous maintenance. While the truck is up at no reserve there is a buy it now of $4,800 dollars that would end the auction as that is what my daughter hopes to get. This will make a fabulous driver for someone as it garnishes a lot of looks and sparks conversation at most fuel stops. The truck has a clean title and has been registered, insured, and driven the whole time of ownership. Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer, communication is requested within 24 hours of the sales end, and payment within three days is appreciated. We encourage questions and have more photos as well as two running videos. We will keep in constant communication with bidders and then buyer, Thank you.
