The 1962 Chevrolet Impala got a subtle restyle and was treated to a new roofline defining the sport coupes with a simulated convertible roof styling with a creased edge along the rear. Continuing their role as the top-of-the-line Chevrolets, Impalas wore full-length upper body side moldings, ribbed body sill moldings, stainless steel window reveal trim, and special rear-fender script. The Super Sport option was now a $156 trim package for the Impala sport coupe or convertible, available with any engine, even the Hi-Thrift six-cylinder. That extra outlay bought front bucket seats of "leather-soft" vinyl with aluminum edging, a passenger assist bar, a console with locking compartment, aluminum molding inserts, and knock-off-style wheel covers. These highly desired Impalas continue to be sought after by collectors and customizers alike, lending to their strong survival rate and restoration efforts.

Offered here is a beautifully customized 1962 Chevrolet Impala SS Convertible finished in Tuxedo Black over Black/White houndstooth interior, along with a matching black convertible top! Under the hood now lies a professionally built LS3 Fuel-injected Hot Rod V8 by BluePrint Engines of Kearney, Nebraska with a dyno-tested 543 horsepower and 522 lb. ft. of torque! This mates to a custom built 4L80 overdrive automatic transmission and rear axle differential with spool and Auburn gearing! Additional equipment and accessories include Vintage Air GenIV complete heating and air conditioning system, fully adjustable AccuAir Ultimate Air Suspension Package with height sensor control and programmable touchpad remote, Wilwood power 4-wheel disc braking system with ventilated rotors and red painted calipers, staggered 18"/20" Coys chrome wheels, power steering, power windows & remote door locks, Dakota Digital HDX instrumentation, complete RetroSound full speaker audio kit with Planet Audio 1000W amplifier that is Bluetooth/Sirius satellite capable, Forever Sharp SS steering wheel, center console with Lokar shifter with digital gear indicator, stainless steel dual exhaust system, carpeted floor mats, and more!

This special Impala was equipped with a 409ci and Muncie 4-speed manual transmission when owned by a Loveland, Colorado enthusiast. After much difficulty fighting the dual carburetion system at high altitude, this owner decided to go a different direction with a brand new BluePrint crate LS3 engine with modern fuel injection and upgraded automatic transmission to handle to mountainous elevation changes. This complete transformation was conducted in 2021 by Fast Track based in Fort Collins, Colorado at tremendous expense and labor time. The results are quite impressive, and the grade of products selected throughout the process were all of the highest quality! It would sell to its current St. Louis owner with approximately 2,000 proven miles on the odometer, and another 350 mile added already this spring during fair weather days.

It is a superb road car with one of the most impressive air ride systems we have ever tested! The drivetrain performance is perfectly balanced for any driver in any environment, and the power accessories make for complete ease of daily function and weekend fun! You would be hard-pressed to find another fully optioned example this well sorted and ready for immediate enjoyment! It will come with service records back to 2020, 2 sets of keys with remote fobs, and storage car cover with battery tender. Please call with questions or to schedule your chance to review it in person! We invite offers at any time and remind clients that we will help ship worldwide! Thanks for looking and act quickly!
