The 1962 Chevrolet Impala got a subtle restyle and was treated to a new roofline defining the sport coupes with a simulated convertible roof styling with a creased edge along the rear. The Super Sport option was now a $156 trim package for the Impala sport coupe or convertible, available with any engine, even the Hi-Thrift six-cylinder. After much difficulty fighting the dual carburetion system at high altitude, this owner decided to go a different direction with a brand new BluePrint crate LS3 engine with modern fuel injection and upgraded automatic transmission to handle to mountainous elevation changes. This complete transformation was conducted in 2021 by Fast Track based in Fort Collins, Colorado at tremendous expense and labor time. The results are quite impressive, and the grade of products selected throughout the process were all of the highest quality!
