The allure of owning a classic Cadillac is epitomized by the 1959 Cadillac Fleetwood Series 60 Special as the ultimate luxury show car. Who can deny that those fins and the bullet taillights are a step above norm even for the 50's. The stunning rear corner trim is one year only. Fleetwood dropped that trim from the '60 Fleetwood.
It is the ultimate mid-century example of a luxury car. Vintage elegance. She's 225 inches of steel and weighs just under 5000 pounds (2.5 tons). That weight is why it gives the special ride and handling. When you close the doors, the trunk and the hood you feel it. SOLID!
The brakes have been gone through to bring them up to factory specs, including the emergency brake.
The factory A/C and radio both function properly. The odometer shows 34000 miles which I believe to be true. Who really knows? The elderly, long-time owner in Florida decided he no longer can safely drive this big car. I am now in the same health boat!
The power comes from a 390ci, 325 horse engine. The 325 horses are more than enough to handle the load.
It has power front seat, power windows including the vent windows, power brakes and power steering. It had incorrect hub caps and the correct ones cost me $3000.00 At some angles of the sun the car shows black, or purple. Actually is a beautiful dark blue.
